Title: Vga Sorry

PC displays use progressive scan, running at 31Khz approx. A line doubler is something completely different. My advice would be ring or email a couple of places and compare the bullshit you get. If I was going to buy one it would the X2vga unit.

The two best true (not a line doubler) vga adpaters (transcoder) is the x2vga, from overseas, and the xboxvga, made here in the states by kengasper.  Both are excellent adapters, and run about the exact same price: $70-80.  The picture quality produced by these two adapters are equally the same, so you can't go wrong with either.  The x2vga only can be used with the xbox for vga.  The xboxvga is an external unit that allows any divice with a progressive signal to be hooked up to it to give vga.  So, you could hook up both an xbox and game cube to it.

I have also made a vga xbox cable.  I used a ms hd pack with a 15vga pin to 5 BNC cable.  I then hooked up three rca to BNC adapters to the red, green, and blue rca inputs on the ms hd pack and then the corresponding BNC red, green, and blue cables to it via the BNC to rca adapters.  But this will only work with the vga bios.  Without the vga bios the picture will be green.
