Title: Dead Drive... How To Restore To "new"...
Post by: snorton on October 18, 2007, 09:31:00 PM
Got me an Xbox here with a dead hard drive.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Building an eprom reader and locking a new drive isn't going to be a problem, BUT, I have no files to dump onto the new drive.

I simply want to the new drive to mimic that of the MS drive. Since I own the Xbox, I should be legally entitled to recieving a copy.

Is there anywhere I can obtain the files, or any software that could write a new drive without needing a backup first?

And thats it.... Or get the ms dash files and setup from a buddys  hotswapped hdd, it'll relock itself and only some of the gamesaves will not work with your xbox,as they are locked to another.
