Title: New And Easy Way To Change Dashboard?!?! No Chips Needed!
Post by: john7435 on April 08, 2007, 09:23:00 AM
hello.
im new. i just opened my xbox today because i needed to fix it. i noticed that the hard drive had the same stuff as a computer hard drive and it said things about using it with windows on one of the stickers. I just thought that maybe if you take it from the xbox and plug it to your computer as a slave hard drive, and not primary, if you could access its files and change the dashboard and other settings.

Can it be done? i dont know if this has been suggested before or not but i just thought it up. Relply if you know anything about it or are gonna try it. biggrin.gif

EDIT:
this may also work to use gamesaves if you can download them from the internet?? i'm not sure tho.

EDIT 2::
I just keep thinking up things for this tongue.gif haha but here it is -
Could i use a program on my computer to extract the ISO from a game, but have my xbox harddrive in my computer and put it on the harddrive and then play it from my xbox? or would that require a mod chip??

PS: im not sure if any of these will work. i dont really look at modding that much this is really my first time.

I'm going to do you a favor and close this before anyone else gets a chance to post and flame you.

None of what you are suggesting is remotely feasible.  The long and short of it can be found in the beginners guide to modding in the XS tutorial page.
