Anyone try this new dashboard yet?

Nope, but I think it looks quite promising. I may hop on xbins later and give it a shot. It looks to have some if not most of the features of UnleashX and even a few others (such as eeprom backtop tools  smile.gif ).

I've tried it.  I actually like the dash but the controls are just not intuitive at all.  Hopefully some skins will pop up really show casing the simplified menus.

dry.gif Is it me or is it just running so slow?  It's pretty nice dashboard but it takes like good 3-5 sec from one menu to another.  Looking forward that speed issue fixes.
 smile.gif Nice dash.

I think that the use of the remote through the dvd IR is a GREAT feature.  I programmed 0 - 9 to point to different programs (.xbe) and tested each and it works perfectly.  More skins are definitely needed and not quit like XBMC  smile.gif  .

Hi,

QUOTE
How do i get this crap in english?
: Just get the Xbins version that is in english by default or rename "anodx-default-english.xml" file to "anodx.xml".

QUOTE
and, does this have a file transfer deal like Avalaunch with auto-discover of other xboxes?
: no yet but this feature will be implemented.

QUOTE
also, how do you download other savegames versus PAL ones?
: the savegames are hosted on our server and for the moment there are no NTSC savegames but it's not a problem to add them.

It seem there is a bug with 1.6 Xboxes and CPU Temp reading. For the moment you must disable this feature on 1.6.

It's a first public release and some features needs to be improved, corrected, added etc..... Don't hesitate to post suggestions or report bug on our forum.

Regards

* Sorry for my bad english

I wrote a mini-guide in french and I'm translating it actually.
About a unique feature you already have xbox apps/homebrew/savegames download & install from the dash for example (Setting > Network > Download).

I see, Very good for a start out dash. Where do i get skins?

I even went in the file explorer to see if i can find it and nothing is there........i tried downloading hdd loader with it and that worked fine but not skins. Anybody else have this prob?

An update already! hey often do you plan to update this thing ( i hate when they take too long to update a dash especially if there buggy)? As for the skin issue i only got one skin to actually download, which is called "nature" but i've tried everything else. I wish there somewhere i can download them from my comp. I updated the dash and now i only got the splinter cell and resident evil one, even though i put those and the dragonball one to download at the sametime. Then i put the dragonball one by itself to download and it did. It downloads whenever it wants to........anyways im already liking this dash alot, after i update is there a way for me to see a changelog or something?

Hi guys,

For skins download problem, could you check if your xbox doesn't have problem with Z: drive, cause downloads in general use Z: drive for temporary actions. So, skins downloads appart, do you have same problems downloading apps/homebrew or gamesaves ?

For install problem, if your bios boots only xboxdash.xbe, it seems that you don't have hacked bios. Otherwise, AnOd-X boots well on EvoX M8/M8+, so try name it as evoxdash.xbe, it should work, and copy anodx.xml file and anodxdata folder to your install directory, seems to be C: for you.

Hi,

Screen adjustment will be in next release, in 1 or 2 weeks. And in-dash menu management are planned for others releases too.

Hi,

You can put anod-x files anywhere you want, but you must let the .xbe, anodx.xml and anodxdata folder together in your install directory. So in your case, put this 3 one in C:\.

Bye.

I used this as my default for a while. I liked it, however, i didn't like how it was rather finicky about networking. i ended up switching back to Avalaunch, but i think this dash has potential to overtake Ava.

the downloads thing is amazing, although it'd be nice if it could be even better. a full selection of apps would be outstanding...like i mean the ability to set up a new xbox, slap on AnOd-X and then download all the apps through the dash...this way, everything is ALWAYS going to be up to date when you get it, and you waste less time FTPing to your machine. like i couldn't get DVD-X2 from it, which i thought was a little appalling. lots of homebrew games and stuff, which is great.

i think maybe the titles for the menu are a tad clunky. i don't think they need the little box around them.

also, avalaunch has an edge in that it has the "auto setup xbox 2 xbox" thing...with which m AnOd-X machine wouldn't cooperate.

Hi all,

Networking problems had been resolved in the next AnOd-X release, wich will be online in few days.

I'll also check your dvdx2 problem to resolve problem with this one quickly.

The menu item titles background are setup in anodxskin.xml, so some skins have ones and some others not ...

For the end, AnOd-x doesn't have ftp client for the moment, but it will be added in the next days and maybe it'll be in the next release (1.02), or the next after...

Bye
