Title: Nexgen Should Be Called Nexcrap

I've just instaled it too and wasnt over impressed but i havent messed with the xml yet.
pretty sure ill be using evox within a week or so.. in nexgens defence the dash was designed to look like the origonal..
you can rip games the same as you can with any other dash (not ms) you need boxplorer in your apps..

You people make me sick. You don't deserve anything, and when something comes out in the BETA stage because you all bitch about it, you end up bitching about that some more. Come on, so it is still buggy. Compare this with EvoX's first release, NexGen will evolve with time, but, personally I don't know why they would even keep developing it with little bitches like you crying. The http server is a great idea for n00bs like you guys to help configure the shiznit, or else there would be 100 threads like "post your xml", "I can't figure xml out", "my 8 year old brother is gay"....

I have to agree with the fact that it needs some work.
But, I love the search path feature and how it pulls
the correct icon for each game. That is tight!
And I also love the fact that someone has taken
their time and energy to give me something for
free! Thanks to the nexgen team and the evox team
and all others who do the stuff that lets me have
more fun with my xbox!!!

i dont aree with you guys about "all for the scene" bullshit you seem to mutter whenever someone says a program/chip/bios sucks

fuck that, if executer says for months that i HAVE to get this dash at xmas, and xecuter hypes it up everyday in every news post they make, and then i finally DO get it.... it better be the fucking shit

but its not, its a lame copy of the ms dash with FAR less functionallity then the current dash that they had to live up to

neX-garbage and team executer are both half assed.

You're right. It isn't a good dashboard yet. But heres the solution; don't use it. From a technical standpoint though, you gotta appreciate it. This is one of the first examples I have seen of serious 3d modeling in homebrew software. It has also integrated some new functionalities such as the http interface, and use of the icons from the savegames. I think this has promise, especially if the xecuter guys get into it. I think that if you guys stop the bitching, perhaps xecuter will integrate its dvdx2. If that is done, it seems this could easily become an unprecedented dvd ripping and playback utility. Perhaps it was over-hyped, but check back in a month. It could turn into something good.

I just tryed neXgen dash and Yes, It still isnt good as evoX dash, BUT It does look very nice, and I cant wait till it has more features, like a media player/music player for media you have in your xbox.
Sounds are great, I think skinning and custom music to it would be great

Appreciate nexgen but still evox fan....

However, understands that it's buggy and a first release but don't anyone thinks that
for a replacement dashboard to be my default dash, shouldn't it be AT LEAST somewhat differs from the original one?.....

One reason for me to switch is that i don't see the silly revolving thing like m$ original dashboard!...if i wanted to see that i could always boot back to the m$ dash! .... ah well maybe it's just a skin.....could be change anytime soon?

and nothing but the sounds are used from the original dashboard, and thats because their massive in size and kept on the C partition already, so why the hell not use them.
