Title: First Steps To Start Making Skins?

I know that some tools are outdated on xboxskins so thats why im asking here,what are some tools i need to get started and is their a good tuturioal to get me started?

The first step I would suggest is get a good text editor and a good graphics program and forget all the tools on skins sites

Then download a skin open the skin.xml up in your text editor Look and Learn and modify it as you go replaceing images with your own getting rid of bits you don't want and adding bits the skin dosn't have.

Plus go to the "The usual Place" and download
/XBOX/apps/dashboards/UnleashX/Docs03002220A.zip
it will tell you the things you can do in skinning though its a little out of date
