So, I was playing Need for Speed: Hot Persuit 2 from the harddrive when all of a sudden, everything froze.
I turn the xbox off and back on again, and nothing happens, no picture, no sound... the Power LED's turn on, they don't blink indicating any kind of error... but the DVD Drive doesn't eject it just blinks at me like the drive is open, or initializing, and doesn't stop blinking from then on. (I can hear it trying to do something if I put my ear on it while pressing the eject button though)
I unplug the AV cable from the back of the xbox and it does the green/orange blinking thing until I plug it back in.. I tried disconnecting the Harddrive and DVD drive and nothing different happens with the xbox..... I visually inspected the board, don't see anything wrong or shorting.
the XBOX is a 1.0 with a philips drive. has a multibios flashed tsop with a switch wired onto the mainboard.. When it stopped working it had been running well under 10 minutes. last time it was used was over a day before to watch DVD's on with the bios switch in the retail position, and had been unplugged until the last time it worked.
The xbox has been modded for close to a year, originally modded with an Enigmah Final until a successful TSOP Flash.. and the xbox itself is almost a year old.
SO, if anybody can help shed me some light on this subject. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanx!
