Title: Taking Dash Screenshot
Post by: Paxil on September 13, 2005, 11:43:00 AM
okay, i know it sounds like a dumb request and yes i searched and read but i can't take a screenshot of UIX dash

some threads said L+R+X makes a screenshot, but instead it appears to increase luminance/saturation

the old thc guides note that L+R+X quick keystrokes are configurable so i looked in the default.xap and it says that screenshot is the right thumbstick

when i click right thumbstick it does a quick freeze as though it took a screenshot, but i can't find it on the hdd

could someone please tell me the correct buttons for a screenshot and where it is placed on the hdd?

thanks

and a big thanks to the UIX team

You had the buttons right. its L+R+X  it puts the screenshots in the directory of UIX look in the UIX folder and look for a folder called screenshots. Thats where they are stored. Hope that helped some.

well, you are not using the official uix. and as such yr dash is not supported here. i guarantee you will have more silly questions because of yr "version".

perhaps you should get yrself a proper/official/supported version...

gasclown

sorry ur right

forget my question

i see in default.xap

function OnRightThumbDown()
{
    theScreen.TakeScreenShot();
}

and QuicklaunchX was changed to wireframe

I will be sure to get official version, I though this was it but that someone added some skins

i was wrong

doh
