But its still pretty useful

Anyway, check it out and tell me what u think

PS: You  need VB 6 runtime files to run it.  Its done in VB, not the best of programming languages, i admit, but thats the best i had installed.

*Download removed. Check out V5 in the pinned thread.

Edit: sorry for the incomplete post

I made a skinning program for MXM.
It lets u "draw" elements, and generates XMl code for it.

Its still in the initial stages, and i might update it if enough ppl want to use it biggrin.gif

However, there IS a way to "save" your design, by generating the XML code and putting it into your skin.

Hope this clears up what the program does

So pretty much, It just tells you where your pic are going to be on the tv when you get the skin done, right?

biggrin.gif so it makes things much easier.

I'm thinking of adding automatic effects.  e.g. Cycling information in the same place using text elements and timers.  Saves you the trouble of having to write the code out biggrin.gif

Outstanding. I love it.  What are you programing this in?

wink.gif  to this project, here's a list of things you can help me on:
-Transparent "Shape" controls in VB
-Control to display PNG files (including transparency)
-XML parser (maybe someone can convert BJ's parser to VB code)
This will allow "load skin" to be functional

Again, I urge all users who have tried this to post their comments/suggestions/bug reports

Thanks

I suggest you allow the user to move and resize the elements they have placed.  Other than that, it's looking pretty good.

Have you tried the MS XML parser? It's installed with IE5, and can also be downloaded from
