Title: Networking With Mxm

QUOTE (slycaper @ Sep 5 2003, 10:28 AM)
hey, i don't know how but my computer can successfully connect to my xbox without having any network information specified in my MXM.xml file. so, my question is HOW?

some facts:

i have evox still installed and i use X-Select to switch between evox and mxm. since i have a boot disc and i have evox still installed, i thought it would be alright if i commentted out the networking section the mxm.xml file. i thought, for sure, if i commentted that section out then i wouldn't be able to connect to my xbox, if i booted to mxm. i was wrong and i don't know why?!? i'm using a router but i don't imagine that makes any difference.

thanks

That's because you set them up with Evo-X, or they are DHCP settings.

The settings are stored in the EEPROM... MXM only looks at those settings and compares them to the ones you set in the configuration - if they don't match, it attempts to change them.
