Title: Anyone Know How To Use Telnet?
Post by: j666 on December 11, 2003, 02:26:00 PM: ok downlaoded a telnet clien think its putty is this good or is there a better or easier one to use also couldnt connect to my xbox using it any one who can help also anyone tried the trainer function with evox succesfuly?

...but I once a long time ago got bored and typed "telnet 192.168.0.69 (or wutever u'r xbox IP is)" into the command prompt, and then it gave me all the root folders, hope this helps at all, i don't know any other commands.... (well, there is "exit")

If you have ever used any DOS command prompts, OSX/Beos Terminals, Xterms, VAX/VMS, AmigaDOS, or even C64, then you've used a command line interface, that's what telnet provides.

I didn't know it was on Xbox, I haven't found much of a need for it. FTP does fine for transferring files, and then it's just playing games...
