How is xbox modded? Chipped or softmod? Does original game disc boot?

Cold-booting any boot disc like Slayer's or Frosty's xbox rescue disc will give you ftp access to fix things.

and hopefully when i can download one, do i just burn it as a image and just put it in my xbox and will it start up by itself, and what will i have 2 do then to ftp it with my pc?

anybody really know.

Cold-boot -> xbox power ups with a disc already in the dvd drive.

xbox dvd drive are particular about the media they read: try dvd-r (minus) or cdrw.  Frosty's is available from the usual place but I think it could still be down.

thanks bro, i downloaded slayer 2.7 from torrents, and i am burning the image to a standard cd so hopefully i will get the problem fixed and i will let you know how well it goes.

YES!!!!! I got it working again, thanks Idotsfan for your help, it much appreciated, i just need help on making my evoloutionX V +3935 dashboard into a XBMC dashboard?
