Sounds like you have a chip or TSOP flash. This means you can boot to a boot disc (slayers, AID, there are some on Xbins, or you can make your own) and fix your problem via FTP from there.

so neither slayers or aid will work either.

burn them to a dvd-r and i just get the same thing?

can anyone suggest anything i might be doing wrong? or where i should go from here?

I'm having the exact same issue after tyring to make XBMC the default dashboard. I've been running XBMC for years w/o monkeying an upgrade...

Like havabeer, I can't get past the executor 2 startup screen so can't run any boot disc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try putting the unlocked HD in the PC and running Xplorer360 to fix the errors.
