Hey, I have a version 1.0 xbox with the xenium gold modchip. I've got an evox iso, but my xbox doesn't seem to want to load any media. I've tried it on Imation, Memorex, and Sony CD-RW's so far, and nothing seems to work. Any ideas as to what I can, or need to do? I've searched on this and can't seem to find anything helpful. If anyone is able to even produce links as to what I need to do i would be very grateful. Thanks!

Put a dummy file on the disk or try DVDs. Here is a little tut on a dummy file. I wish I had copied the name of the poster so I could give credit.


Make a "dummy" file of about 4 GB and create another ISO but this time include the dummy file in the ISO. It doesn’t matter what you name the dummy file. To make a dummy file copy and paste or type (whatever suits) this into command prompt in windows XP:

fsutil file createnew d:\temp\4gbDummyFile.txt 4194304000

For a CD, take off the end zero to make it 400meg.

Well, I have tried a couple of dvd's, they are DVD+R....does that make a difference? Does it need to be DVD-R?  Right now the file I have is about 685MB so I can't add any Dummy space and make it fit on to a CD-RW. I've read tutorials about the Dummy space, but it doesnt make sense if the file is already so big, because the way I understand it is the iso is normally too small for the xbox to tell that anything is there.

What exactly is the evox.iso and where did you get it?

You should try Slayer's or Auto Installer Deluxe (AID).

xbox-board.de_xbox_ultimate_4.0_Boot-cd.iso  that's what the first one I had tried is called, I got it from a torrent site. I've also tried Slayer's 2.6  and that doesn't want to load either, ill see if i can find AID anywhere but I dunno, Do you know of any gaming stores that do this stuff and is more knowledgable in it?

Hi, Iam new here and Iam stuck on FTP thing. But I just got the Aid today, the hint is go the "regular" place.
