Title: Bypass Dashboard?
Post by: 1hotjob on September 11, 2006, 07:33:00 AM
First, your not running the "Splinter Cell Mod", there is no such thing.

Splinter Cell is the game you used to load the exploit.

You are running Krazie's, Kingroach's, PBL, etc...

If you are running Krazie's Ndure, you should be able to load the game from the original CD and play the game on Live. That is, if you meet the marriage theory.

If you Xbox was on Live before the mod and you have the original HD, you are OK to play on Live.

If you were on Live before the mod and have upgraded your HD, you need a new eeprom that hasn't been on Live before.

When the Xbox is booting with a DVD in the drive, it bypasses the softmod.

When you boot without a game in, the softmod hijacks the Xbox and runs the BIOS (softmod) you put on there through the exploit.

You're absolutely right, I was kind of generalizing, to give an idea of how I modded it.  What I meant was I have a softmod using Krazie's Splinter Cell exploit.  Just didn't give all the details, thinking that most softmods should react the same way.  I believe this is the specific mod I use, however.  So, if the HD is factory original, (it is) and I've used live before (ditto), there should be no problems hitting live?  I've made some tweaks with software, but done nothing hardware related.  Still should go ahead and get an xecutor though, although I have a 1.0 box, and with those, there is supposedly alot of solder I have to remove to set a no-solder chip.  Arewn't those holes you use filled on 1.0's?  Gonna google it.  That's the reason I went with a softmod.  Thanks 1Hotjob.
