Pop in the latest version of AID (auto installer deluxe) and follow the instructions for removing evox and try reinstalling it using AID and see if that works.

Sounds like your evox.ini got corrupted. Just FTP a new one over. If you lost your evox disc, make a new one or download one from xbins.
