I did look around before asking so ... :P
I've got Slayers EvoX installer 2.6 gotten from TSpy not on slayers website/forum since slayers.xboxscene.com doesn't seem to be giving confirmation mails when i register. Something about a Port problem or something anyways...
I installed EvoX with slayers now i want to unmod it with Slayers. I did chose the Restore to Factory option and i see it copying files and all but in the end it goes to the EvoX menn with the options, "Launch Disc" and "System Settings".
Also when i first installed Slayer's EvoX i had to manually put on the MS dashboard myself before it would work which was really annoying.
So, anyone have any advice on unmodding it? Maybe my version of Slayers is tampered? Help please. :)

just use an app like boxplorer or dvd2xbox, etc. And delete everything you installed with slayers.
-
Bit of advice... don't download Slayer's from 3rd party places. They may have added or removed stuff prior to making it available for download.
You didn't have to register in order to download Slayer's from the X-S hosted site either.
I just used slayer's to revert a hard drive back to stock a few minutes ago... works just fine.
-
Well the version i got off TSpy doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it AND had the password on it. I can't seem to find the version from Slayer itself. I tried looking in "The usual place". Maybe i missed it? x.x
-
You didn't search very hard.
Visit the usual places and go here:
XBOX>apps>Auto Installers>SlaYers_EvoX_Auto-Installer>SlaYers_EvoX_Auto-Installer_v2.6_FINAL.exe
-
It looks like it's the same torrent i downloaded from TSpy.
Have anymore advice? I've even tried clearing all the drives manually and just installing files from Slayers Disc. It all ends back up on the EvoX menu with only the options "Launch Disc" and System Settings". Nothing else.

Anyone...? Can't restore to MS dash here. >_>
-
could be your copy is not reading ,writing properly. use a diffrent brand of dvd, or cd. i tried writing slayers using a dvd, but when it went thu the motions, it came up back to the original x box screen, didint write at all.. i then burnt it to a cdr-w, then it worked like a charm, installed slayers.

You must be selecting the wrong option. I cleaned up another xbox hdd this morning using Slayer's and it worked fine. The only thing it leaves behind are 2 small gamesaves which can be deleted through the m$ dash. It DOES NOT leave evox dash or any other files on your hard drive if you select the correct options.
Try again and make sure you're selecting the option to revert the hard drive back to "Retail."
-
I just reburned it at 1x to see if there was something wrong with the original i burnt.
Same thing happens.
I do pick the option "Restore HDD to Factory" something along those lines.
I use fugifilm to make backups and they work perfectly on my other xbox.
I've used every viable option and they all just go to the EvoX default dashboard with the options "Launch Disc" and System Settings"!!!!
Angry right now. :grr:
Anything else out there that can revert it back to MS Dash?

By any chance is your box softmodded with NKpatcher and a Virtual C Drive?
-
I first used Krayzie's Ndure, then i overwrote it with Slayers.
NKpatcher and virtual C: drive i don't think so...
-
Ndure installs Nkpatcher.... sounds like you're reformatting the virtual C drive instead of the actual C drive.
You can also Try Auto Installer Deluxe 2.11. Burn to disc, insert into your xbox and select the option to format your hard drive.
Afterwards, select the option to install the 5960 M$ dash.
...that's it.

So auto installer deluxe will format the real C: not the virtual?
