Title: I Have A Component Tv..but No Hd?

what sort of resolution would i get, if i know my tv isnt and HD tv, what is the min. requirments for a component? 720p 480??? im so lost, does anyone know the min. a tv can have if it has component video? my hd pack works great, but on the dashboard, i can not enable any of the video settings or the screen goes ape nuts!! HELP GUYS!! thanks again!

It sounds like your TV only supports 480i.  My sister has a tv like this.  It's a cheap 43" toshiba projection TV purchased from costco about 4 years for $1200.  it has component, but it won't even handle 480p.

There are no min. requirements to have component connectors.  Usually it does indicate support for 480p (progressive) but it doesn't have to.  All you can be assured of having is 480i.

Unless you have HD you won't have 720 or 1080.

ya..idk it sucks, but then again my picture is still WAAAY better then it was before with standard AV, it still makes my day, im just disappointed i dont have anything better then 480i :( but oh well, thanks for the help guys!
