sleeping.gif You need crossover cable, not regular patch cable. Fork out about $20, or go make your own...

I did and all the solutions mentioned in there didn't fix my problem , i think my cable was the wrong type...I'm gonna buy a cat54 rj45 crossover cable and if it doesn't work i'll change my hardware ( i mean the network card )

If your cable was the wrong type, you wouldn't be able to ftp in at all.  However getting a new known good cable isn't a bad idea, neither is trying a different nic, new drivers, throwing a hub/switch in the middle, etc.  All mentioned in my tutorial.

look for a program called Windows Commander.  It's must faster than flashfxp.  I can only get about 2,500kb with flashfxp but with WC i get 7,400kb.  And if you have a router you don't need a cross-over cable.  I don't have one and you see the speeds I get.  maybe just a different program...who knows....the xbox is a weird machine......

nice, ill try that!

Windows commander apparently works amazing, im runnin it now, uploading at 7000's instead of 400-500 with FLASHFXP.

Sounds like I'm missing out here....

When I transfer from xBox to Pc I get about 100-200kb/s

From PC to xBox I get about 900kb/s

WTF! I thought that was fast.

Try the windows commander program........in most cases people's speeds have tripled.  I get 7500kb using this program while if I use Cuteftp or Flashfxp I get 2,500kb

first mine went slow too when i was using flashfxp or smartftp (400 Kbps). One day i tried internet explorer and its very much faster (8mbps) . but when i tried it at my cousins xbox it still went slow. so i think it is th cause of your xbox or program youre using!!

My speeds on evox have been normal, sending games in around 5 or so minutes depending on size. I switched over to a 320GB hard drive, and now I only get 600kbs max from PC to xbox, sending an ISO... which I sent to the older hard drive and only took 5 minutes max, but yesterday it took around 1 and a half hours for it to upload 50%...... on XBMC it uploads normal..... why all of the sudden I get a crazy slow rate on evox?

My solution is to use XBMC (XBox Media Centre). In General settings make sure FTP server has a tick next to it.

My speeds are now :
11mb/s from xbox to pc
and
5 or 6mb/s from pc to xbox

Well, mine downloads at around 80 kb/s, but when my connection is doing something, (ie: loading a website) the speeds skyrocket to several mb/s. I get this behavior with flashfxp and total commander. Any ideas?
