Read the tutorial in my sig to find the settings that will work for however you have the xbox physically connected.  Regardless you will need to edit the evox.ini on your computer and then reburn it to a new disc with the settings you've made.  it is probably set to static ip = no and you probably need static ip = yes.

you need qwix program to extract iso and edit evox.ini and turnthem into xiso again by using the same program and then burn

i'm tryin this.  Just edited the .ini, and i'm gonna try it.  Hopefully it works!  Thanks.

Still no luck! I read your tutorial and everything, and I still get the 0.0.0.0 IP.  are there any other programs that I could put on a CD that would allow me to FTP to my hard drive so I could replace the dashboard?

Well how do you have your xbox hooked up to your computer?  Post an ipconfig /all from your pc and the evox.ini network section you are using.

in command prompt run ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt
then open the ipconfig.txt with notepad and copy n paste.

put defaultgateway in boot disk same as your pc IP
and try this trick
1. connect xbox to pc
2. boot evox leve it at menu ( just leve it)
3. open flash fxp then connect
and don't forget to check your crossover cable for any defective
