Thanks for the replies. But i cannot ftp the box cause i have a win98 machine and i cannot afford to buy a new one. |
This makes no sense, Windows98 can FTP fine.
Thanks for the replies, even the ironic ones, good one mr "thefilepirater", but i think that the problem remains...
Any more suggestion is welcomed
the ones who have installed the evox with slayer's, and that don't have win2000 or greater the stuck with a xbox that does not append to their needs. A very nice solution would be an editor for the xbox, right, is there any? I read about this unleash editor, can i copy it to a cdrw and transfer it to the xbox, using the boxplorer? and then edit the evox .ini?
Sorry for the English
About the FTP think are we sure? because i cannot see a win2k based machine from my win98PC, how can i see an xbox?
OK i got it.
To unistall whatever you want, just delete the files, use boxplorer
To edit the ini, update files, or anything else, create from your PC (the os is no important) an is0 9660 (i think), cdrw close the session, no multisession, that includes everything you need, from edit ini to dashboard updates to emulators you name it. Then load the xbox (dashboard like evox) start the appication dvd2xbox (the boxblorer won't recognize it) and copy the cd/cdrw/dvd/dvrw to e:/games or f:/download, or everywhere else. The by using the filemanager of your choise, just add the files/folder to their respected location (ex evox.xbe to c:\, applications to e:\application\program_1) and reboot to main dash. That's all
and now a message for the ones who can read it

you can use flash fxp on windows 98.
before I got my new pc i used win 98 all the time.
you still just choose the settings from your control panel and
set the ip address to the correct range and it works fine.
you dont have to burn a disk every time just to add something
that would be a pain the a--.

I'm not sure what your thinking, but win98 machine can FTP perfectly fine... if you don't know how to I suggest reading Mr. Robinson's networking guide.... using file managers will work, but your seem to be doing a whole lot of extra work while being under the misconception the win98 can't ftp into a xbox.
Bottom line is you got it working good for you...
