Well I got a new 32" TV and as soon as I hooked up the xbox it looked "white washed" i.e. the black looked more like grey and there is a small very whitewashed strip vertical on the right. Old 27" looked perfect. Even on boot it looks overly "whitewashed". My cable box outputs perfect signal as does my DVD, it's just the xbox. So I'm sure the TV is fine. I tried lowering brightness, etc... to no avail. I also put the HDTV pack w/ component cables on and no change. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

it looks whitewashed using either HDTV and the regular RCA cables? did u put the xbox back to the old tv to see if the xbox maybe messed up...
for now it seems like the xbox works fine on the other tv.. and on this tv every other component works fine EXCEPT the xbox... regardless of inputs? si that right so far? or am i not readin the Q properly

Did some back / back comparison and the regular AV cables look better than the component cables. Maybe it's just the TV's component input? Funny how it's just the xbox though... hmm...

is it an EDTV? does it accept progressive scan? if so and u didnt set ur xbox for it, the TV could be using its own in-line doubler which could possibly suck. if u turn on 480p on the xbox the box will send a 480p signal and the tv wont double the signal itself... is ur DVD player progressive scan? i know the doubler on my projector flat out sucks and progressive scan from the dvd player makes HUGE diff in color and sharpness
