So let me get this straight, if I don't have an F: partition, this CD won't load any apps or games?

exactly. it wont even install the apps&emus.

I've got me a retail seagate hdd, i currently have no modchip, when i get one, can i just whack this awsome cd into my xbox and set it to install everything and it will? or do i have to format the drive so it has an f:, or do seagates have an f: already?
final question: how much space does everything on the cd take up once i install it all??
sorry for all the questions, its just im a 56ker and i dnt wanna have 2 d/l this without knowing what i gotta do with it, or if i can even use it.

I cant find a working file of this anywhere.  Ive tried the source on the website and got a exe that does nothing.  I tried a source from a guy on #x-disk and got an rar file that wouldnt open because it was damaged.  Ive tried downloading them both multiple times so I know ive gotten the whole file complete. Can somebody help me obtain a working file of this masterpiece. Thank you.

heres how I did mine.

1. download a bit torrent client and install it.
burst is the one I like http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/ or try others from http://www.geocities...rent_Client.htm

2. Restart you IE and go to the X-disk home page http://x-village.de/x-disk/

3. click on 'Here is the Torrent for X-DISK 0.93' link, this should automatically start up burst/bit torrent client and prompt you on where to save it.

4. once transfer is done (be carefull, some bit torrent clients allocate the correct file size at the start of the download, so ensure that it's 100% complete (burst! doesn't do this)) it's a good idea to leave the bit torrent client open for the same time it took you to download to give others a chance to download X-disk from you. <- Give and Take!.

5. double click the downloaded file and extract the .NRG file from it, open up NERO, if you haven't got it, www.nero.com to download the demo version (if the site is in German, click on the international link on the top right of the page)

6. Select CDROM from the type of burn, in nero 6, select Recorder, Burn Image, browse to you xdisk.nrg and click ok. (on older versions of Nero, I think the burn image option is under the file menu)

once burnt, you should  have a X-disk 0.93 CDRW disc in your hands, what the hell are you waiting for ?

any problems with this process, feel free to post or personal message me, I'll try to help where I can.

Seagate works fine, format F: gives you about 2 gig space. But after install u got ony 1,7 gb free on F:
Thats not much...

Even tho xdisk will install everything on f, and i will only have about 1.7 gig left.  Cant I copy games, music, movies, roms etc to the other drives, and still use the apps on f to access them?

I agree with Sniperkilla, an E drive install option would be most welcome. I've installed on a 10g with great sucess. having an 8gb option would be nice. I have xbox's with both and using phoenix so I dont have to open them. I like your installer better than slayer but cant use it with my 8gb box's.

Thanks Firefucker, Awesome installer.

it took 5 days to download on dial-up (only a 5 hour limit and i went away). But it was well worth it.

was having issue ftp-ing to mt box on evox 3921. I have not tested to see that it's fixed.

you have gone to alot of effort and it's appreciated.

Thank god, i alomost accidentally installed it in german, he he.

Maybe I'll add an option for Install all&everything to copy the stuff to E: in the next release.
I'll see...
But are there really so many 8gb- Boxes out there?

i have run into more WD drives then i have seagates.  your first version of x-disk had options for WD drives.  if you could include options for both versions of drives that would be spectacular.

games folder is HDDLoader.. wtf who actually uses THAT to copy their games, dvd2xbox is 10x better and copys to F:games

Just curious - I've been using PXHDDLoader 1.3 which now has a feature to view the real names of all PxGame folders. I've been using it for a while and have been pretty happy with it. dvd2xbox - I didn't realize that it copies games. What are some advantages that dvd2xbox has over PxHDDloader?

update disk is very hard cos I changed really a lot  from 0.93 to 1.0...
The only way would be a stripped down version without M$-dashboard/Emus and Games. If I also cut out the Skins it'll be about 100MB, maybe less.
The next prob is the testing and spreading....

What so you expect to be on the Update-Disk?

Maybe thats a point to discuss @ x-disk.com ...

Sorry for the stupid question.

I don't know anything about torrents.  I went to that download site and clicked both links.  The x-disk one first then downloaded the bit torrent file.  then I clicked on my downloaded x-disk file and bit torrent is working on opening the file.  It says that it's gonna take like 15 hours to finish.  Is this the right process and is it supposed to take that long?

For those that dont know how to download using a torrent, just go to www.shareaza.com (or see my sig) click on the torrent and start the download. I suggest using shareaza as the torrent was made with torrentaid, so even if the tracker goes down shareaza can continue the download (trackerless torrents!!!)

If you get the error "unexpected end of file" when extracting the image after downloading it with bit torrent - reopen the torrent and it will redownload the missing bit. Click on the torrent link again and save in the exact same location as last time. It will say "checking existing file" and then start downloading the missing / corrupt bits.

cd-rw  or dvd-r   and possibly dvd-rw

You'd be real special getting a cdr to work as its very unliely. At 2-5 cents each ,try one.

dan, that means that you can set up all your stuff to be put on the f: drive on your stock 8 or 10 gb hard drive, but there is no point scince it all goes on c: anyways, you only really need to use the f: drive if you have a bigger hard drive

and what irc server and channel is it on? (or am i not allowed to ask?)
