plz help im dieing to ftp
-
Are you still having problems?
-
---yes im havin probs
My network is setup by comp 2 ethernet, ethernet 2 router, router 2 xbox.
"set up to do DHCP so that it'll dish out an IP to your XBOX" -----i dont know if it is or not and i dont know how to do that
Some routers have "trusted zones" settings, and if your XBOX isn't in the list then you ain't FTP'ing to it.
----how do i change?
thanx for input
-
Yes i have router with hub(pretty sure) Linksys 4port router,
I have the Evox on a cd-rw and not on the xbox yet (dont know how to put it on xbox without ftp... when i try to change the static ip to no it goes back to yes after i reboot it.... here is the results
0 Ethernet adapter :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . :
1 Ethernet adapter :

I had this same problem and it was driving me nuts. It turned out I was trying to connect while in the "Settings / Info" screen. Once I tried from the main menu all worked fine.
-
thankx i got it workin
but the speed is slow... 700kb... i have a usb 10/100 ethernet card, linksys router, and using smartftp... any help speeding that up would be great.. thanx
-
also play around with the 10/100/full/half duplex settings.
-
because you have a usb connection for your network card the speed is limited. it will never reach the 100mbps that it says it has. it may if you have a usb2.0 card and network adapter but otherwise i would reccomend buying a router or a second network card. a second network card is much cheaper and will allow upload speeds around 4 or 5 megs/second and downloads of around 8 or 9megs/second.
-
The dsl installer guy said he couldnt install an internal ethernet card cuz my computer wasnt compatible with it so he did the usb one
but if you think i could get one just for xbox and it work that'd be cool
