I have 2 of the newer games and neither of them work on evox. I just got x2: Wolverine's Revenge (the original) and it doesn't play through evox. I have to turn it off and back on so it boots from the disc right away without going through evox. I was just wandering if anyone else has this problem and if so, if anyone has a solution.

Umm... all the new games (or most) have a new code on it i think that disables it from running from a HD. You must find a HEX Editor and edit the default.XBE.

I wasn't trying to run it from the hd, and while I didn't use a hex editor to manually change it, I did use XBEMIDP2 on it. I can get both the original and the other to run, I just can't get them to run from evox.

its not always the Bios, the bios are rock solid. its the Evox dash files that need to be current...
see signature for versions needed.

Unfortunately I have an old mod that can't be flashed, so upgrading the bios is out...I have evolution x 1.8.3285 and it worked fine for me until I tried the new games, specifically Tao Feng and X2. I'll try upgrading the evox, but I'm surprised nobody else is having this problem.

Other people are having this problem do a search for "patch" and you find many posts about having to patch newer games.

This is an IGR problem. If it was a media check problem, it wouldn't have worked at all, even when directly booting. Either he is using an original or a pre-patched pirated copy. I'm voting for the second one, but I'll tell you to disable EvoX's IGR.

I did use the original at first, and it didn't work. I will try disabling the in game reset, though. I believe that to be the problem now that you mentioned it, I'm just not home to test it right now.

The in game reset was the problem. I was able to get everything working after I fixed that. I obviously should have read the FAQ in the discussion boards before posting, so thanks for the answers. Next time I'll spend some time reading before I ask a question.
