They dont say too much about the IGR. Whats the button combo? It seems a bit more complicated/less complete than the Xecuter IGR.

QUOTE
IGR is availale in 3 modes (Select from Settings Menu):
-FTP IGR -> When you launch from FTP Client e.g. execute f:\mame\deafult.xbe
-RDTools IGR -> When you launch from VC++
-MISC IGR -> IGR when launching normally

If you want IGR in original games you have to use the Launch DVD function from RemoteX or enable Auto Launch Game and insert the DVD when you are in RemoteX dashboard

I think the bios IGR is a better way of doing things, it's simpler. Early days though. This might be a solution to some of the eject fix problems people have after doing a IGR.
The Dual Bios is cool.

QUOTE
AutoSize bios file:
Evox will now automatically autosize the bios image to fit the flash type e.g.
256 -> 512 ; 256 -> 1024 ; 512 -> 1024

Would this cause complications with multi bios roms?

I think the only reason the Dual bios can be kept under 256k is that the IGR is dashboard driven.
It's great to have ptions though.

well just installed the new dash version, and the only thing i noticed that changed, is at the bottom on the colormod change, it says matrix inside.  then it just hangs there, looks like i'll be going back to .2812 until they get some bugs fixed.   beerchug.gif

o and by the way when it says matrix inside i think it says that for all machines, i have an xecuter and it still says matrix inside.

Just set up the new dash - works the same as the other as far as I can tell.  The IGR is not working for me.  Normal controller - do you HAVE to have the Evox bios or will my Xecuter V1 work?

I have IGR enabled in all modes. (Stock setup).

Any help will be greatly appreciated - thanks

I dunno about the whole IGR, before when i was just running 1.8.2812 and X2bios when i did the triggers+black+back combo it would go back to the EvoX menu, and after installing the new EvoX combo when i do the IGR it completely reboots my box.  Is this happening to anyone else or is this an option im missing in the new version, because i liked it alot more going back to the dash and not rebooting. All in all i went back.........

I will try the new dash soon, am also thinking of installing the new bios - but got to open the xbox to switch the matrix chip onto mode 4 or whichever one it is [orange].

That IGR trick is a very welcomed feature - I was going to try out the XEcuter bios that has this, the 4973 final I think its called. Anyway will try Evo X's version [ yeh I know its built into the dash and not the bios].

Because it's not a BIOS-based trick, but some kind of hack when launching new images.

That's why I'd like for them to reveal how they are doing it, so I can add it to MXM (which is open source, so EVERYBODY can benefit from whatever tricks I come up with).

In the interest of the Xbox community, I appeal to the Evo-X team to give a little bit to the other developers out there.

To get IGR on burnt multi-game discs just use the new dashboard as the menu system..

We awoke to find what we were hoping wouldn't happen. EvoX released the bios to support both console versions. Now many may think this is great, but we are very sad about this, and we're sure the Xbox Linux team are also. When we first cracked the v1.1, Xbox Linux and ourselves knew about the secret backdoor (actually a bug) in the Xbox that enabled us to crack it so fast. Of course the only way to conceal this was to release 2 x different BIOS's, but now the secret is out and the consequences won't be clear until a new version is released. We thought we'd tell you as you'd probably want to know why we wouldn't be cracking the next version in 2 days instead of 2 months.

What's wrong with a BIOS that supports both versions of the xbox?  I think its rather nice and confuses mix ups.

And also this quote:

QUOTE
Aside from this nice to see you improved the sloppy upload speed and fixed the skin bug (oh and thanks for the credit on the IGR function hmmmm)

To my knowledge Team Xecuter never released an IGR dash... nor did Evo X steal their code.

IGR was the idea of team X-ecuter so they feel being copied.

I just soooo disagree, so team X-ecuter feel copied too because there are other modchips that do the same thing as theirs ? Where they actually the first ones to make a public mod chip ?

I mean come on, if there is such a thing then aren't they going to copy evolution-x's idea of making a dashboard? (neXgen)

They are just being lame with competition.

Trust me intelligence has nothing to do with trying to mod an xbox...

...and this means, by saving 1.0 and 1.1 users a miniscule amount of thinking, they've cost 1.2 users a world of trouble when they realize they can't mod their systems AT ALL.

Yeah, good way to kill the mod market ahead of time, too.

I think the new EvoX is great. All the listed features hold true for my xbox. I would like them to however build the in game reset feature as to restart the xbox to EvoX rather than reboot the whole system as the Reboot feature in EvoX is usually programmed in the main menu of your EvoX. If you dont got it set up this way then do it.

I think that the Idea of a reset or power button on the remote would be great. I also think that EvoX should release some form of music player default in the EvoX dashboard as well as a file manager and DVD Player instead of having to launch separate programs, however it is not neccessary.

They should add in the music player along with playlist for sure and the file manager. This is really needed because all the other programs dont allow ftp support, and they should all have more error recognition and feed back as well. I also dont like the fact that you need to switch to programs for such simple funtions. The music player in EvoX would be great cuz A)I think you should be able to listen to music while selecting the game and B)There should be one great dashboard that does all the xbox programs are capable of with full skin selection and menu options.

I also do not like the fact that all these emulators and apps can potentially have there own in game reset feature. This feature may infact reset the game while playing e.g. Final Burn Alpha has the Left + Right Trigger + Black enabled as the reset feature, if you have set up your controller to have the butons on the back or even just by mistake you can reset the game.

At this point that is all the feed back I have for this version of EvoX.
