                                    Try Eepromer v0.4 lets u unlock and lock the drive from the xbox  smile.gif

Has anybody try the new EvolutionX 1.8.3285 Dashbord Backup function?. It said Fix to the Backup function for XBOX 1.1
Will it create the lock number for XBOX 1.1 HDD?

yes download the new evolutionx n use the backup command, it will create a backup dir in your c dir, in there is a .txt file with the hd key. but v1.1 xboxes cant use the new eepromer. i used the eepromer on my v1 n it locks the drive fine.

YES the new Evox Dashboard v1.8.3285 can create a good backup of your v1.1 box.

The HD Password is generated from the Serial # + HD Key + HD Model # using an RC4 Key.  However since the v1.1 boxes use a different RC4key and algorythm, the current eepromer 0.45 cannot lock your v1.1 xbox.  You must wait for the next release for that.

Have no fear however, you can manually lock your v 1.1 xbox using any of the standard PC lock tools and simply taking the password from the EvoX backup folder.  

Look under the tutorials section in Xbox-Scene for info on locking the HD and just make sure you've used the latest EvoX to get the key!

I haven't tried to lock a drive in a 1.1 box yet.

BUT when you do this you do NOT lose any data from the drive at all, so it's safe to try it using manual method (as 1wolf1 says).

Even if something isn't right and the Xbox can't unlock / read the drive, you already know what key you locked the drive with, so you can just unlock it again.
