Get an IBM, that is the best. I have Maxtor in pc and also an IBM and the difference is for sure to see. Maxtor is real crap, when it comes to copy and paste files, very slow and crappy compared to the IBM.

Sounds like a poll. I use Maxtor 40g . Very reliable. I have super fast loading if any and have never had any freezing or glitching that you would get by using most drives unless I have one 1gig  or less room left on HD...even then its very little.

I would go with IBM just because in my computer I have had two maxtor drive do head crashes on me in the last year and a half.  That would really suck if your xbox hard drive had a head crash!

Personaly i would get a Seagate.

Good job you went for the maxtor. They may be slow but better chance of them not crapping up as much as that particular IBM model.

The 75GXP and 60GXP models die on you, checkout places online where america are sueing IBM cos of this.

From personal experience I had to buy a SeaGate HD as a backup, since my IBM was messing up and making these clicking noises. Also got some CRC errors while backing up files. I have the 60GXP. Hopefully send it back to IBM sometime next year, since for some reason it is working again, and so no point in sending them a working HD.

It doesnt matter what drive you get, you wouldnt see the difference, since the xbox only transferrs at ATA33
