Which error code are you getting ?
Is you mod still 'on' ?
-
are you sure it isn't just a bad .ini file?

I'm pretty sure i can fix the problem...i'm not freaking out or anything. The only issue is that i can't access the hard drive. If worse comes to worse i blank out the hard drive and start from scratch. The problem occured when i replaced the xboxdash.xbe file. I then rebooted and the error occured. Do you guys think its possible to just plug in my xbox hdd to my pc and replace the file manually ?
Kanche: yes the mod is still on.
Optimus-Prime: i replaced the xboxdash.xbe file from evox 1.8.25 to 1.8.28x but i did not replace the ini file. I just need to get axx back to the hard drive so i can fix it.

Try booting with a EVOX cd. Then replace the dashboard with a working one. That's what I had to do when I got the same problem.

Use a CDRW, not a CDR. I was using an HP CDRW disc and was having problems, only would boot maybe once in 5-8 tries. Then I formatted the disc, full format not quick, and then reburned the ISO. Once I did this, it boot every single time for me using the same disc that was causing problems before. May not work for you, but just suggesting something that seemed to work well for me.

Well folks... I'll be the first to admit it... i'm an idiot!!!
Turns out the hard drive wasn't the problem. After more "careful" inspecitoin i discovered that one of the wires on my mod chip had come off the xbox modtherboard. I resoldered and everything is running again.
But I discovered this snafu a little late. I had already formated the hard drive. The "Careful" inspection phase came after i tried 5 different cdrw's to boot the xbox and nothing would work. Long story short ... i'm back to where i was when i first started this post. Just took an entire day to bring it back to where it was. Downside is that i lost all my save info for my games. Oh well... a learning experience I guess.
For all those who think their xbox is screwy... before doing anything drastic like reformating your hard drive... check your wiring. Until next time...... lata and thanks for all those who tried to help me out during my brain freeze.
