Screen savers haven't been necessary for years just to let you know... screen burn is no longer a problem with any monitor or TV...

Old habits die hard...

What about plasma TVs? I just bought one and I heard a lot of stories about it but how true is that?

Clock sleep function would be great, so I can listen to CD's while I sleep.

As far as television burn in, I'm not sure, but in the booklets for most games, it states a message in regard to it.

" Avoid damage to Your Televison

Do not use with certain televisions
Some televisions, especially front or rear projection types, can be damaged.....blah blah etc etc.  "

Not sure about plasma TV, though. Maybe a email to Micro$oft asking the question could ease your mind, but I think what Demon says is right. You would have to leave it for days/weeks to get the burn effect.

Plasma's can get burn in real bad. Especially with bright white video. Be careful. A company that makes them left one on over night at a trade show with their logo on it. Screwed that one.....................

I haven't used a plasma TV before, and I don't know much about them.  I would contact the people you bought it from to see what they say.  You've already paid for it, they'll be honest! :)

A guy I work with here says that they will have problems.  He's an electronics wiz, and I'd trust him.

Still; the amount of time that it takes to burn in is what you should be curious.  I've got a projection and it takes days and days of the same image to burn in (acording to the manufacturer and the company I bought it from).  Longer than I'll ever have an image on the screen.

so...

we've discussed screen savers and flat TV's to quite an extent.

What about remote controller features for evox?

It seems like they don't have remote support, am I wrong?

If not, does anyone know if they are thinking of adding remote support?

I know i'm lazy, but the way I like my Xbox is with no game controllers, the remote receiver on the controller 4 port and to just put DVD's in without plugging in the controller. I only use the game controllers when I'm playing games.

The way things are now, I put the dvd in, evox boots up and I have to unravel my controller, plug it in, and  use the controller to go to ms dashboard so I can then play the dvd.

by the way, I realize that the xbox is a GAMING console and most people have theirs with 4 controllers plugged in constantly, but if there is a way to control evox using the remote, it would be nice to use that feature.

Thanks

Juanxo
