Title: Evo-x Causes System To Boot 15% Of The Time?
Post by: VXD Error on August 18, 2002, 05:30:00 PM
Ok well if anyone cares I figured out some symptoms.

First if you are running Evolution X (an older Bios that doesnt support DVD tray Eject while running) then you will probably run into problems if you try to eject when the EVOX dashboard is running.  I had my system running fine until i went to hit eject then it causes the xbox to not even boot up properly.  You can cycle the power all you want but it will not boot.  I tried to hit the power button by itself and the eject button to get the system to come on but it still didnt matter.  I noticed one weird thing happen.  If i turned on the xbox by hitting the eject button then like in .5 sec hit the power button to turn the system off,  the system made a wierd screech sound like a dying onboard speaker.  (not sure what that was).  So after cycleing the power and eject buttons like 50 times it finally came back to working order.  Almost like there is a glitch in the bios / software and the only way to get it to come back up is to hit the buttons at the right time to glitch it.
