Title: Evo X Ip Address
Post by: theferalmoon on August 14, 2002, 08:24:00 AM
Is it pulling a "live" internet IP address?

In EvoX go to "Network" and see what the IP address is.  It should be grabbing an internal IP address.

192.168.1.xxx

Make sure the computer you are using, and the Xbox have both pulled an internal IP.

I had weird problems with my Xbox pulling a live IP from my ISP when I was connected to the net.  (Through my Linksys router/gateway)  I shut everything down, disconnected from the net, and restarted.  Made sure all devices pulled an internal IP.

Thanks, Iam at work now and can't try it.....so the only way to get it to work is if I disconnect my ISP?  I could get  XB connect to work correctly with my setup.  The software I have to share the Internet connection should be assigning IP addresses.  It assigns an IP address to my laptop that is also on my home network.  I will try what you said when I get home, but I want to know is it possible to have a 'Live' internet connection and still use flash fxp to connect to xbox with only one network card installed in the pc.

Yeah, if you got a USB modem or something...  or any type of internet connection that doesn't require a NIC...  aka 56K Modem...
