Is it possible to connect a harddisc through the front plug (USB)

i think it would work except that it would see it as like one big memory card

Nah, xbox has no drivers for your external hdd. It won't work.

IF it works, it will just be seen as a memory card... (some of them do work)

you can use them in linux, but its still stuck at usb 1.1 speeds anyway

BIG mem card
