2. Clean your solder tip. remove some solder from the points. Clean your tip again. remove solder... clean ...remove...clean ... remove..patience... clean...
you get the point. I also place two switch for the future flash. It is much easier to place the switch the first time around.

Its sad that you are having to work on your xbox MB and have no more of a soldering education than this. Use a de-soldering braid to remove the solder between the jumpers. Get the braids at radioshack.

Dude......
u gotta get atleast some basic kit.
as well as briad...
u can get a cheap tool
called a soilder sucker.
srping loaded device
that has a small nossel.
heat up the soilder and then use sucker thing to suck up all the hot soilder.
works a treat and really does put an end to pushing hot soilder around
in the hope it might come off the mobo.

Yep... use a desoldering pump or a solder braid.
-
Jeez how much solder you guy's putting on your boards :)
I only need to clean my tip put a bit of flux on it, wait a moment then touch the point I jumpered. Solder goes to the iron and I pull up and it's done.

Solder braid works better than the pump if you have a small blob.
cover the blob with solder braid
touch the braid with a hot solder iron
wait a couple of seconds and the braid will change color, and that's when you pull it away - viola - nice clean contacts...

get a desoldering vacuum they are like 5 bucks at radio shack
