Title: Change Partition On A Xbox Memory Unit

Does anyone know if i can connect the xbox memory unit to a computer and change the partition to FAT32?

This is my first thread here on xbox-scene :rolleyes: and yes, im a noob! :P

i'm assuming he used xctrl or xid or somesuch and wanted to make cheap usb fobs :)

i think it's a great idea to put a FAT32 paritition on an xbox card though, since then you could use it just like a USB memory stick. It would only be 8mb, and you would have to mod a usb plug into it, but it would still be nice. I'm not sure how big they make xbox memory cards, but they're probably cheaper than usb sticks.

Yes that was my idea with this. The memory card i bought was werry cheap, just 4 dollar for one unit.

if you can think of it, then its possible. The only problem is by the time you figure out how to partition a MU to fat32 and get it windows (or whatever OS) to recognize it, I doubt it would really be worth you time seeing as its only an 8mb card. My advice would be to just buy a 16mb mem stick off ebay for $15 or so and buy a usb card reader. And use the 20 hours you save not doing this mod and play some KOTOR. Just my 2 cents

I'm searching for a program to format the xbox memory card with.
Does anyone know any good programs to do this?
I know there is a program to change the partition to FatX from Fat32.

I just spotted (today) a program in the downloads section of the OzXChip website called OzXMemory. There were no instructions or anything, so I don't really know what it does, but it might be what you're looking for.

that program is for mounting FATX memory card images only.
