like i said the firmware doesnt show up in firmware toolbox as a valid firmware but it appears to me (i who have seen a valid and corrupt firmware in hex too many times to count) to be valid and the key is in the right section and there doesnt appear to be any corruption around it.

your not understanding the situation of the drive, if i leave it on for more then 30 seconds a resistor will be over powered and literally explode, i have seen this problem before in a couple drives that went even opened (i.e. it dose it by its self).
the revert is removing the epoxy, taking the tsop32 39vf020 (the chip that holds the firmware) off, dumping the firmware on it and flashing an original 78 firmware, what lead me to believe it was a bad spoof flash is the firmware is valid but the section that firmware toolbox checks before telling you its valid is the spoof section.
it doesnt matter if its brand new or a year old, that doesnt change anything.

@lovespancakes1 the tsop is in the package along with the drive board, you advised me on aim you where going to try to use it and if you got hurt when the resistor exploded you where going to sue me there for i did not reattach it to the board.

if you send the (whole) drive back and insure it for $100 (include the insurance slip they give you) i will replace that component and if that gets it to work i will just charge you the original $45 ($40 for the revert + $5 for 2-3day return shipping + a credit for the $18 i didnt refund (for firmware recovery and return shipping), if that dose not fix it i will replace the drive with a 47 i just got in and will flash your key, spoof and pay for return shipping.

Actually i have had more then a few go wrong, not really sure what happened they didn't act like a bad flash but wouldn't eject and the customers (who where fully informed) where always understanding and didn't mind paying an extra $5-$15 (i give credit for trade in on the whole drive, which you didn't provide), this has been the first time i have had a customer act in such a way as you have.

First off its only $20 guy and I don't think its brand new. I don't know. I WILL ADMIT THAT. I have offered to split it in half. I don't like the way you conduct your business alright. I got my drive yesterday, installed it today and so far so good.
