If you paid that much for them you would have been better off finding some trashed mobos and stripping  the ram off them.

I get them from trashed boards ones that have cpu,gpu,or mcpx damage.They cant be repaired unless you have smd equipment and you can only get that part from another spare board that would have less damage than the one you are repairing so they go cheap.Especially if you can find bulk but its rare.And the percent of people who will do the upgrade and need the ram is low so the market is not there.
