if you just want to buy the case, then i'll touch up the paint to take care of the couple scratches.
just give me a couple days to get the hardware out of the case, then i'll put another coat of paint on it.
for 35$ (includes shipping), i'll throw in a glow in the dark jewel for free.
also, blacklight controller ports (UV-super bright), and i'll get the indicator lights installed under the jewel.

i got one back from a dude that used way too much glue, and i got request from someone who wanted the lettering colored. if anyone's got any cool jewel tricks to share, i'd like to hear them.

yes and yes (i think). i also have version 1.6.
most of my power supplies have an extra 5VDC output for LED's, etc.
if you want a bargain, i have one with the power cord soldered to the connector.
you would have to remove the solder for normal operation, but it works perfectly well.
make a reasonable offer, i will most likely accept.
if you want junk PSU's, then i have plenty of those as well.
just pay for S&H, and they are yours.

i have also modified it.
as with all of my PSU's, it has an extra 5VDC wire for LED's, etc.
if you match the wires, color for color, it will work the same.
for 15$ shipped, i'll throw in an ATX wire harness for you to install.
for 20$ shipped, i'll install the harness for you.

dude who traded 2 motherboards for 1 motherboard with the duo installed...
it's finished. both motherboards tested fine. they were both 1.6, so only one works with flashbios.
i'll send you that one. FlashBios works with about half of 1.6's, otherwise you must use eurasia with cromwell. you won't need to worry about this though. i'll ship tomorrow if i get around to packing it up, which shouldn't be a problem. i've already built an xbox with the board you sent me for payment.
if anyone else wants to do this deal, it sounds cool to me.

I had only installed an X3 chip before so I was a little hesitant about "downgrading". X3 is great, (if you can find one) but this chip is simple and just works!
Just a little info for those who are looking for a GREAT, CHEAP MOD CHIP:
These Duox2's are the white board Cromwell editions.
The package comes with the chip, pin header, and lpc rebuild board all sealed in an anti-static bag.
They have 2 512k bios banks. Bank 0 has the Cromwell Bios. Bank 1 has the Xecuter FlashBios Utility.
I used the Alt D0 point rather than the tiny "top" D0. It's a little easier to solder to.
Flashed the X2 5035 Bios by way of HTTP using the FlashBios Utility.
Couldn't be easier!!
Install diagrams / instructions:

And just search for "X2 config maker" to setup the LBA and other Bios options.
If / When I install anymore Mod Chips, I'll definitely be bringing my business here!

i know you like your hacker BIOSes, and i think that they are great and everything...but....
i must stress that these are for the purpose of running linux on your xbox, or repairing a broken xbox.
what you do with them is your business, but i have set out to cater to the repair community, which is why i am on xbox-scene.
potty, i appreciate the praise, and i'd like to thank you again, but..
these do not come with a hacked bios, and i can not condone the use of them for that purpose.
with that said.
i have more cromwell debug chips available.
..and, yes, they are way simpler to install, and way more reliable than some overblown,overpriced leach monster of a chip like the X3!

#2 I tried to install a Duo X2 i got from someone on my testbox which is TSOP flashed and softmoded. But now it turns on then off 3 times then just blinks red i tried googling but no dice figured you might know. I removed the solder already and its still the same thing (i dont know why). Also the guy sad the chip had a bad flash or something.

Not to steal his reply...but yes he does have some frag boards for sale. I just bought 5 from him. Only catch is that they may or may not work, he doesn't know. His Duox chips are $13 each...don't know about with the extra pin headers though.

jewel looks excellent by the way.
i had a spare jewel to experement with (from a while back, badly scratched), so i messed with the chrome.
it turns out that acetone softens the chrome enough so it just flakes away. (i just used a toothpick and it flaked right off)
just remember to do that before you sand it, you dont want to ruin a good sanding job
use it or dont, just thought id let you know

Yeah you have to first remove that Green paint off them with some
Liquid Metal Polish, Then You can paint that baby any color you want and it
will look great. How do you remove your Jewels From The xbox's Man?
Cuz i'm pretty sure your doing it the wrong way, Listen to remove them nice without
chips or stuff, Grab Some FINE Fishing Line, Then just stick it in the gap and saw off that
Glue under the jewel with it. Works Great
