Title: Fs: More Xbox Stuff (read last page)
Post by: Alex548 on April 23, 2006, 10:33:00 PM
As of September 1, 2006 . . . I no longer offer repairs/upgrades to xbox consoles. I moved from a 3 bedroom house to a MUCH smaller 2 bedroom apartment and I no longer have the time, energy, or space required for working on xbox related stuff. I will still offer modded consoles, working dvd drives, controllers, and miscellaneous parts from time to time so please check the last page of this thread to find out what's currently available.

Time again to clear out more of my stuff. Here's what I currently have:

· 4 CPU heatsinks
· 3 Passive GPU heatsinks
· 7 solid copper MCPX heatsinks (thermal tape pre-applied)
· Brand new sets of rubber case feet (just peel & stick)
·  Brand new Thomson TOP60 replacement dvd lasers

Here's a picture of the GPU & CPU heatsinks: Click Me
Here's what the heatsinks & feet look like: Click Me
Here's a picture of the lasers: Click Me
Prices:

· CPU heatsinks & GPU heatsinks... make offer
· MCPX heatsinks $4 each or $$22 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail for all 7
· Brand new sets of feet $4 per set of 4 feet
· Lasers $16 shipped Priority Mail (discounts AND combined shipping available for bulk purchase)

All 3 Passive GPU heatsinks are sold and all 7 MCPX heatsinks are pending sale.

Adding:

1.0 TSOP flashed motherboard with xbox case bottom. I received this from _DiGiTaL_ several months ago.
It was supposed to be a working board... never worked for me. I was told it was flashed with X2 4981.06

Here's what I've done:

Tried 3 different hdd's and rebuilt them with Slayer's 2.6 --> Error 13
Tried the same hdd's. Formatted & rebuilt them with AID 3.0--> Error 13
Soldered a pinheader & tried a DuoX2 chip --->Error 13

The board boots up, but goes to Error 13 no matter what I do to it. It reads the auto-installer discs with no problems and I can format/install anything I want, but upon rebooting it'll give Error 13 and sometimes Error 21.

I gave up on this board a long time ago and it's been sitting in my garage taking up space.
Maybe reflashing the TSOP would fix it... maybe it won't. That's about the only thing I haven't tried on it.
Throw me an offer if you feel like messing with it.

Oh Mighty one?  blink.gif
Yeah, I have several 1.6 PSU's available. $20 shipped or I'll entertain trade offers.

Did some work last night on some dvd drives so here's what I currently have for sale:

LASERS:
· Thomson TOP60 lasers $16 shipped Priority mail
· Samsung SOH-D12 lasers (for SDG-605b drives) $16 shipped Priority Mail
· Philips VAD6011 & VAD6011/21 lasers $16 shipped Priority Mail
· Complete Philips laser assembly ( in-cludes laser, new motor & assembly) $20 shipped

Ask about bulk discounts.  smile.gif

DVD DRIVES:

· Two used Thomson drives with brand new lasers $32 each
· Two Philips VAD6011 dvd drives w/new laser $45 each
· One Philips VAD6011/21 w/new laser (cosmetic damage on lid) $40

· Hitachi GDR-8050L xbox drive (hard to find). Had tray sticking problem that I fixed. Successfully opened & closed it 50 times without a problem and laser works great. $50 shipped.

Premodded xboxes:

· Premodded xbox w/1.4 motherboard & X2.6CE modchip.
· Preflashed with FlashBIOS 3.03 on bank 1 and X2_5035 on bank 2
· Western Digital 250 gig hdd (7200 RPM with 8MB cache). NOT LOCKABLE
· All necessary apps, dashboards & Emulators pre-installed (NO GAMES OR ROMS)
· Brand New M$ s-controller (still in sealed package)
· Genuine M$ A/V cables
· Genuine M$ Power cord

I'm asking $200 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail with delivery confirmation and insurance. Once again, the 250 gig hdd on this xbox is not lockable so don't expect to be able to use Xbox Live with this box. The 250 gig hdd definitely makes this xbox a bargain for people who want a modde box to store games & music.

Please post or PM me with any offers and/or questions you may have.

Here's something interesting. See the word "in-cludes" in my description for the premodded xbox? It won't let me spell it like it's supposed to be spelled. Instead it automatically sticks the - into the word.

Can someone else try & confirm this: in-cludes (See, it keeps adding the hyphen).  dry.gif
Title: Fs: More Xbox Stuff (read last page)
Post by: deadparrot on May 17, 2006, 01:24:00 PM
I can confirm the in-cludes thing, happened to me before too.

Hi Alex

I'm intrested in 5 lenses, is 55usd for them +shipping to sweden a good price? Also what would shipping be.

The MCPX heatsinks & GPU heatsinks you will get are they special or standard, I'm looking for heatsinks that are more effective so I can have cooler xbox.

Since I didn't make a bulk order on the heatsinks, they're gonna cost me $3 each.
I can go ahead & sell them for $4.50 + shipping.

Your choices for shipping to the UK are USPS Global Priority Mail ($9.50 US) or USPS Airmail Letter Post ($2.10US).

These heatsinks are small, but surprisingly heavy.

Yeah, $55US + shipping is fine.
Shipping via USPS Global Priority Mail is $9.50 according to USPS website, it'll take 4 to 6 days to arrive in Sweden.

MCPX heatsinks are rather small. The ones I have are 20x20x15mm (lengthxwidthxheigth). They're solid copper and have pre-applied thermal adhesive on them (just peel & stick).
The heatsinks are to be installed directly onto the MCPX (Nvidia chip on the motherboard). These won't help bring temps down on your CPU or GPU. They're specially made to keep your MCPX cool (prevents overheating & burnout).

Here's a picture of the MCPX heatsink installed (the copper square to the right of the X2.6CE modchip): IPB Image

All PM's have been replied to (I think).

Can't believe nobody is interested in that brand new Linksys WRT54GC Router.  dry.gif
Anyway, all the stuff in my previous post is still up for sale if anyone is interested.

I can also put together a modded xbox if anyone is interested. I ordered a brand new Western Digital 80 gig hdd (7200 RPM w/8MB cache), then the guy backed out on the deal.
I have X2.6CE and DuoX2 Cromwell chips to choose from if you're interested in a modded box.

Phew... busy night in PM land. All PM's have been replied to (I think). If I missed you... feel free to PM me again. Cleared out my inbox (again).  smile.gif

Anyone interested in a modded xbox with a duoX2 cromwell chip, 80 gig hard drive (lockable) virgin eeprom (courtesy of Zodiiak), duke controller, and genuine M$ A/V and power cables? Same specs and software I always install in my xboxes (look at previous posts). Make offers & I'll see what I can do.

I got stuck with this brand new 80 gig hdd so I figured I'd mod another one of my xboxes and sell it.

10 lasers $100 shipped Priority Mail ($10 each).
15 lasers $146 ($9.73 each)

I only have one version Philips laser. The laser fits the VAD6011 drives.
The confusion comes because I have the laser itself AND I also have the complete assembly... basically all the guts (laser, motor, rails, etc...).

If your motor is dead... the complete assembly is the way to go since you get a new laser AND new motor.

Anyway, shoot me a PM when you get your paypal account ready and I'll give you my payment info.
If you don't mind doing the mail route, I can also accept money orders.

Here's a picture of the complete laser assembly (courtesy of my supplier): Click Me

Haven't bumped in a while....

Only 8 solid copper MCPX heatsinks left at $4.50 each (shipped).
I also have 5 Molex power splitters available at $3.00 each (shipped).

2 Loaded Cases (good paint job candidates) for $20 shipped.
They include:

· Case top w/shielding
· Case bottom w/shielding
· Case front face plate with power/eject buttons
· DVD bezel
· Stock case fan
· Power/Eject PCB
· Complete set of controller ports
· HDD Caddy
· DVD Caddy
· Set of 6 Torx 20 case screws
· Set of 4 brand new rubber case feet (just peel & stick)

These cases are NOT in mint condition. They have scuffs or scratches that make these perfect for paint mods. One of these cases has a small hole on the case top where someone overtightened the T20 case screw & poked a small hole through the case top. A dab of bondo or JB weld & some sanding will fix this right up.

1 Locked slim seagate hdd with eeprom chip. Eeprom chip was carefully extracted from a 1.4 motherboard.

1.4 Winbond TSOP. This TSOP was carefully extracted from the same motherboard that I pulled the eeprom from. No bent pins, no broken pins.

Everything else in my previous post is stlll available as well. Oh, almost forgot to add...

Are the phillips that you have better than the version that came in my box it didnt like most media but i got it used so the laser may have been crap . Do you have any used harddrives for cheap not the stock ones, looking for 80gb or bigger to put in my box. Also what about the install on these drives is it plug and play ive heard about having to desolder something? Not sure on this thanks for the help

The assemblies I have are only compatible with the VAD6011 (or VAD6011/21) dvd drives.
I don't have any lasers for your VAD6035 dvd drive. You can try gameonyx.com
I believe he still has them in stock.

At the moment I only have Philips dvd drives available.
Thomson drives tend to suffer from way too many DDE errors so I no longer bother working on them.
No, I don't have any hdd's 80 gig or above at the moment. Try geeks.com I believe they currently have a 250 gig for $60 + shipping.
Your VAD6035 should be better than the VAD6011's I carry, but I suppose your laser has died. If you wanna save a few bucks (instead of buying a dvd drive from me), just get yourself a replacement laser.

I think that answers all your questions. If not . . . lemme know.

gymguy, try gameonyx through ebay as well. I'm sure he'll respond to your emails since he always replies to mine within a couple days.

Hashmire420, sorry. . . I don't carry replacement lasers anymore (except for these leftover Philips VAD6011 assemblies). I got rid of nearly all my xbox repair stuff a couple months ago and have no intention of acquiring more stuff for resale. As with gymguy above, try gameonyx. I've been holding a modded 1.6 xbox w/250 gig hdd for a forum member who was supposed to trade for a laptop, but apparently it's not gonna happen.

Here's what I have:

· 1.6 console (rarely used).
· DuoX2 GS Cromwell flashed w/X2_5035
· Seagate 250 gig hdd (lockable)
· Diffused green LED's in the controller ports
· Genuine M$ Duke controller
· Genuine M$ A/V cables
· Genuine M$ Power cord

I chose diffused LED's because they give off a nice glow (instead of blinding you like regular LED's).

The hard drive is set-up with many of the latest apps/emulators available.
XBMC 2.0 is pre-installed as well.
The primary dashboard is currently UnleashX, but can change it to whatever dash you choose (or you can do it yourself).

I'm asking $200 shipped Priority Mail (w/insurance).

Still available:

· Adaptec AVC-1400 Game Bridge (2 left @ $20 each).

Also, if you need a broken motherboard for repair/parts. . . lemme know since I have a few.

Anyway,  check your PM's for details since this has nothing to do with my b/s/t thread.   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Thanx for the bump & compliment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Was rummaging through my closets full of crap & found like 30 MCPX heatsinks.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
Anyone interested in them? I'll sell individually or take the whole lot if you want.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I also found 4 brand new controller cases.

· 1 Clear green Rainbow S controller case
· 1 Smoke rainbow S controller case
· 2 official M$ blue S-cases

They're all brand new. Will take pix when I get home tonight.
I'd like to get rid of these as a complete package rather than individually.

Also just received another shipment of Philips VAD6011 dvd drives.
Will be adding new internals & testing them tonight as well.
U want one? $40 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail.

Also have a used Philips VAD6011 dvd drive. It's been cleaned & tested for an hour and works great.
$35 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority on this one.

2 Adaptec AVC 1400 game bridge units still available. $20 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail.

Hmmm... suppose I should look at my b/s/t thread more often.

The 1.6 was purchased brand new by my wife.
We only used it when family came over so we could play Halo 2 on XBL together.
I've been the only owner. When we moved to a new place, we boxed it up & it's been sitting in the closet ever since. Never been softmodded, never been opened, rarely ever used at all.

^ Didn't receive any PM's.  If you need anything, let me know.

Well, I got a PM from someone asking for a couple misc. parts so I scoured through my closet o' crap for them.
While I was there, I found a few other items I'd like to get rid of....

Mixed pack of lasers. Some new, some used, some sold to me as new, but are actually refurbs:
· 6 Thomson lasers (TOP60)
· 2 Samsung SDG-605b lasers (SOH-D12)
· 5 Thomson dvd cog belts (fixes tray eject problem).
No clue if any of them work. For what I'm asking, it's worth a try if you have some DDE drives and a multimeter laying around.
$20 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail for all of them.
IPB Image

Miscellaneous crap. If you see anything you're interested in, shoot me a PM with an offer:
· Universal A/V cables (Xbox, GC, PSX. . . I think).
· Buttload of brand new xbox feet (just peel & stick).
· 2 Power/Eject PCB's (stock LED's).
· Molex power splitters (nice long cables for case mods).
· 2 Yellow DVD power cables
IPB Image

Have lots more miscellaneous crap I didn't bother to take pictures of.
Stuff like what you see in this picture is also available:

Still trying to get rid of those brand new xbox rubber feet too (just peel & stick).

still have tons of miscellaneous crap (and some cases).

1.6 nearly new. Rarely ever used. Pulled it out of the closet a few weeks ago when my 360 took a dump (again). S-controller was brand new and still in OEM blue bag, but wife used it a couple weeks ago so it's no longer new in sealed bag, but it's still in mint condition. DVD drive is a Philips and the seals/rubber feet are still intact.

We've pretty much only used this console as a backup for whenever guests come over (or more recently when our 360 takes a dump and we have to wait for M$ to fix it).

I also have the one below. . . stock1.0 internals w/12v fan mod and original Thomson drive (and I use it for XBL a few times a week). It's never given me a DDE in all these years:
IPB Image
Old photo (about a year ago) and the blue xbox jewel was sold a long time ago. It also has a few chips here & there from when I packaged it up & moved, but everything still works perfectly.

More miscellaneous stuff sold last night. My closet thanks you....  smile.gif

I still have more misc. stuff available including yellow dvd cables, dvd bezels, controller ports, maybe a power/eject board or two.

Also have some 1/4 watt, 100 OHM resistors (like 1,000 of these) if anyone is interested in those as well.
Oh, also have a used, but working Logitech wireless controller (black). Tested and works just fine, but left thumbstick no longer makes the clicking noise when you push it down. Guess it's a bit worn out . . . but everything still works.

I also found some more solid copper MCPX heatsinks (20x20x15mm). They have pre-applied adhesive so you simply peel & stick. Since they're 15mm high, you can't use these if you have a Philips dvd drive, an X3, or Xchanger v2.5 (or any other mod that blocks the MCPX on the motherboard.

Potato10, yes I still have at least 1 daughterboard left. Got rid of two of them today, but I remember seeing at least one more in one of my boxes o' crap.

MCPX heatsinks are $3.50 each.
Yeah, they work on RAM also considering they're actually called RAM sinks.
They're considered large BGA RAM sinks so they're a bit wider & taller than regular heatsinks (which makes them better).

Guess what just came in the mail today? 1.0 xbox manufactured in January 2002.
Bad PSU, but everything else working just fine (including Thomson dvd drive).
U still interested in the motherboard? I can do $40 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail.

Also received a 1.6 xbox modified with X2.6CE. Would likely sell this one complete, but will entertain offers for specific parts. What I don't want is to get stuck with another empty case (I already have at least 10 empty cases).

With a stock hard drive (or no hard drive), I can probably go $90 shipped USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail.
I received it from ebay and it was missing the external bank selector switch on the X2.6 so I just added one & everything is working fine (including the Philips VAD6035 dvd drive).

Case is in decent condition and the internals were very clean so it appears to have been well taken care of. I also found out it was modified by fellow moderator FallsInc (that's what it says on the startup screen).  biggrin.gif  . . . small world.

I don't do TSOP flashes, but if you're planning on installing a chip onto this motherboard, I can install the pinheader and D0 wire at no extra cost. Just let me know whether you require a 12 pin header or a 16 pin header. . . I have both sizes.

Hint: 12 pin header works with Aladdin, DuoX2, Xchanger v2.5, etc. . .
16 pin header works with X2.6, X3 (X3CE), and others.

Hey alex I was wondering if you could give me a list of all the xbox you have for sale.
Also could you give a little explanation about each like modded or not modded works on live.. Its version..opened or not opened.. What is on it..etc...

Here's what I currently know (and what I remember):

· 1.0 xbox. Stock internals, but has a Mustang Yellow automotive paint job. It's a professional paint job and was wet sanded, buffed, clear-coated, then finally buffed/polished. The case was painted by manatarms25. It's been on Xbox Live, but hasn't been banned. I use it a few times a week to play Halo 2 online. Has a Thomson dvd drive and 12v fan mod.
It also has a jewel hole pre-cut (before it was painted), but no jewel . . . just never bothered to put one in.

· 1.0 stock xbox. Stock Thomson dvd drive in it. Everything works just fine. No clue whether it's ever been on xbox live since I received this from Ebay with a bad PSU. PSU has been replaced and everything works just fine now.

· X2.6CE modified xbox. Painted blue by manatarms25 (just like the Mustang Yellow xbox). Stock hard drive and the DVD drive is a Philips VAD6035. Everything is working great. We use it almost daily in my son's room so he can watch kid movies. No clue if it's ever been on Xbox live, but I installed the chip personally and I've never taken it online. I'm not the original owner of the internals so I don't know if previous owners ever took it online. Almost forgot, this also comes with a "Mod Inside" jewel. . . not installed though.

· 1.6 xbox with X2.6CE. Stock case and no hard drive at the moment. Not sure if it's ever been on xbox live before. The chip install appears to have been done by FallsInc. I received this from someone on ebay the other day stating it wasn't working, but the only thing wrong was it was missing the external bank switch for the X2.6CE. I installed a spare one and it's working just fine. Has a VAD6035 dvd drive in it and works just fine.

· 1.6 stock xbox in near perfect condition. Has a VAD6035 dvd drive. It has been on XBL, but is not banned. I purchased it in November 2004 brand new and have rarely used it. It spends most of it's time in my closet, but I pull it out whenever my xbox 360 dies and my wife uses it while we wait for M$ to return our 360. This one has never been opened and all seals are still intact.

Hi Alex, been awhile, especially so with the BST for me so I'm not on the up with what the average going rates are on things these days.

I'm looking for a stock Xbox, PM me with what you're looking to get for the stock 1.6 (I'm in Canada, not sure if you'd remember). Wife wants one in the bedroom for watching movies n stuff with XBMC.

I have a 1.0 Motherboard, a 1.4 motherboard, and several xboxes (1 stock, 1 modified w/X2.6, 1 custom paint & stock internals, 1 custom paint & modified w X2.6CE). Let me know what you need. I can even supply pics if you ask for a specific item.

do you have a 1.0 psu with the mobo? if not how much for the mobo alone.

^ I only have a repaired 1.0 PSU that I use specifically for testing motherboards that I receive. I wouldn't want to sell such a crappy PSU to anyone.

BTW, the 1.0 motherboard has been sold.

thanks it came in like Thursday or so it was in good shape but how did you solder the top D0?

^ very carefully.  biggrin.gif
When my hand's aren't all shaking from low blood sugar... I usually solder to the top d0.  smile.gif
It's pretty easy actually. Just use 30 gauge kynar wrapping wire and tin the wire before inserting it into the d0 via.

Only regret on your motherboard is that I didn't exactly install the header pin perfectly.
The solder job is good (go ahead & check it). . . it just wasn't completely flush with the motherboard.
Ah well, things like that happen when I'm soldering at like 3:00am  blink.gif

Anyway, the header pin and the d0 are on there pretty good and I tested the motherboard with an X2.6CE prior to shipping to make sure everything is working great.

Since this is a b/s/t... guess I should post an update or something:

BTW, the lid was not screwed down in that picture. . . just in case you were wondering why front panel looked funny.
