You call us assholes, what has almost fully been the efforts of myself, YuYu for provided a bunch of files for the xbox community. And Yes, you are right, we do ban extrememly stupid people from the channel.... kinda like the people that think that alt.binaries.cd.image.xbox is a website.. we try to restrain ourselves, but sometimes the stupidity is overwhelming and out click mouse ban fingers get the best of us and we slip and a clickedy click click click.

BTW... most bans from the channel are 5 to 15 minutes... although I have been known to ban people for a 24 hour period after telling them 3 times not to repeat the same rule breaking action..

Ban people for extreme stupididty? The website I was refferring to was the www.alt-bin.com that is the base for the newsgroup, and info for all file transfers.
My instinct when I read your post was to check mIRC. I have never used an alt binary before, and I just wanted to learn what it was (if you search google you won't find crap), I have no way of learning unless I find out. So I go to the forums and I ask them where I should start. They say just type in !list. I try it, having trust in common deceny and I was automatically banned. I got back, ask what happened, some completley different person tells me to you have to trade, thats how it works, type in !list server, the guy sounded sincere... automatically banned. I got back, somebody says sorry about that, try this... banned for a while. They were all different people, and they all sounded sincere. I mean common, I didn't spam, I didn't say "wAT d0 I dooo??? Tell me, I wan f1l3z!!!!!111 gim333 gim333." All I asked was where do I start.
I've been all over xbox-scene past month and people have been extremley nice, and Ive gotten lots of help with MXM, and I found preview videos from your and yuyu's ftp and I THANK YOU for all you help and tutorials and whatnot, but these people plain and simple were being assholes, the honest truth. Sorry if I lashed out on your entire group, or you and yuyu but these people I came in contact with were not nice.
So before you go out and say I was exulting extreme stupidity, maybe I was just new to this stuff like many are and looking for some simple direction. And maybe these people were just being assholes. Ill stop before my overwhelming stupidity gets the best of me. I don't know, I don't even care anymore

Yesterday, I downloaded all 487 preview videos (1+GB worth) from news2me. I pay $10 a month flat, and although they state limits, I've NEVER been charged overage (in fact, I talked to their tech support a while back when my account was cancelled - the cancellation was a mistake, quickly fixed, and he told me I was their longest-running customer

Just so you know.. UnleashX in the next public version (test version already supports) will support either preview.wmv, preview.xmv and MXM_SS.WMV...
so MXM users won't have to change the name of their preview videos...
Also MXM may (and I belive will) support preview.wmv, preview.xmv, MXM_SS.WMV and MXM_SS.XMV... in a future (possibly the next) release...
