| Sounds to me like the dvd drive thinks it's not closed when you start up your xbox. So it then atempts to close it self by ejecting the tray and then close again. But something is causing it to not eject all the way. I bet there is some thing inside the drive obstructing it causing it to think it's not closed in the first place. I would pull the drive out and take it apart to see if anything is in it causing it. Be careful though. There's alot of small moving parts and gears in there. wouldn't want you causing more damage to the unit. I've done many dvd drive repairs (ok, four), where people have damaged the pot by tring to tweak it. You've got to be real careful when you get inside that drive. If you need any help just email me. I'll do my best in answering you. [email protected] |

| Just want to make sure you changed your ide and yellow ribbon to make sure thats not your problem either. If thats not the problem then yes, your mother board is the problem. But hey you already knew that. Woundering if the mother board had a bad solder job? |
