If the motherboard is cracked, then it's likely it's not going to work anymore. I have a PS3 that fell hard on the floor, with only minor damage to the case and no damage at all to the board, yet it no longer works. It'd probably be better to sell yours on eBay.

The PS3 is still too expensive to find individual parts on it anywhere, even eBay. However, there are a lot of broken complete PS3 auctions there already, and the cheapest one I've seen so far was this PS3 that was in pieces that ended for $160 last Saturday.
