What makes your repair service different than insert name here?
Most firmware and repair technicians around will attempt what we like to call an "X-Clamp" fix on your XBOX 360 to repair the RROD error you may have received. While this method MAY work some of the time, sadly, its not only unsafe for your console and doesn't fix every error your XBOX 360 could come across. XBOX Tuner analyzes each console to determine its specific error code and fixes it accordingly. For GPU, CPU, and H/ANA chips that break solder points off of the XBOX 360 motherboard, we completely remove the chip, desolder the points on it, clean the motherboard up, reball the chip, and then reflow the chip back onto the board. This process is not done with heat guns; as heat guns use static electricity to operate and could potentially cause damage to your system. We also will not use pennies to secure your chips down. Using pennies is dangerous! Should a penny come unsecured in your system during or after shipping, it could short out your console and cause it not to work at all. We use a high quality rework station which heats the top and bottoms of the XBOX 360 motherboard to temperatures high enough to melt the solder on the chip, allowing us to pull it from the board and repair it. The same process happens when we place it back onto the board. This is the most reliable process to repairing the RROD.
Do you remove the X-Clamps then?
Absolutely not. Regardless of whether or not the XBOX 360 has design flaws, if it was made to have screws and washers holding down the heatsinks, it would've came that way to begin with. After our repair we replace the X-Clamps and X-Clamp screws back into place and tighten them down securely. If your XBOX 360 has fallen victim to an "X-Clamp fix" and still doesn't work properly, we do replace the "fix" with the original X-Clamps for a small fee.
Do you offer a warranty for your service?
YES! All RROD repairs come with a 90 day limited warranty from the time of the repair. This is ample time after the repair to determine whether or not the error will occur again. Should the error happen during this period, we will do whatever it takes to fix the problem for free. If the problem cannot be fixed, you can trade your XBOX 360 in for credit on a cheap used modded or non-modded XBOX 360 console.
Do you offer modding services? If so, which drives do you mod?
Of course. We offer DVD drive flashes for one of the lowest prices around. We mod all consoles to date, including consoles with Lite-On DVD drives. We are equipped with the Xtractor360 and Spear add-on, which allows for quick and safe key extraction from these drives.

Would like to offer my services to anyone needing a repair or wishes to have their drive modded. I perform DVD drive mods on all XBOX 360 models using a 360Xtractor and Spear add-on. The service is quick and professional. We ship back all mail-in orders same day (if received in time) or next day guaranteed (except Sundays).
Are you receiving an error from your XBOX 360? Call us for immediate help. We'll talk you through getting your error code and explain the situation and offer a professional repair. We stress this a lot, however it cannot be said enough; XBOX Tuner offers the best solution for repairing your XBOX 360. Let me take a second to educate you on the ways that are done and the way we repair consoles:
Common Ways of Repair
X-Clamp Replacement (Fix): This method is performed by removing the X-Clamps from the motherboard completely and replacing them with screws, nylon washers, and metal washers to tighten the heatsinks farther down on top of the GPU and CPU chips.
Result: In order for screws to take the place of the X-Clamps, 8 smaller black screws must be removed from the XBOX 360's chassis. These screws hold the motherboard down, and without them the motherboard could flex even worse than before, causing more damage to your console. Also, many people will try to fix your broken with this method, even though the error has nothing to do with the X-Clamps.
Penny Trick: A dangerous method of placing a stack of pennies on top of the H/ANA chip to hold it down onto the motherboard.
Result: Should a penny become loose and fall off of the stack during operation, you could short out your XBOX 360. This method is very dangerous and should not be attempted at all!
Towel Trick: Wrapping your console in a towel while in use to overheat itself in attempts of fixing the problem.
Result: First of all, who would actually try this? I hope I don't need to explain the consequences of this method...
Heat Gun: Generally, the heat gun is the closest option to a professional repair.
Result: Although its close, using a heat gun is bad due to it using static electricity while in use. The static electricity it produces could cause more harm to your console.
Okay, now that I've informed you of the many ways your XBOX 360 console COULD be attempted to be fixed. Let me tell you about a more secure, permanent solution to your RROD problem:
FACT: Not all XBOX 360 error codes have to do with the X-Clamps and/or CPU and GPU. These are just a few of the many error codes that you could receive while owning an XBOX 360 console. Knowing what error you have and how to fix it separates a good deal of the people who perform repairs in the first place.
XBOX Tuner's Ways of Repair
XBOX Tuner uses a two-part rework station to repair problem chips on the XBOX 360 motherboard. Part one is a pre-heater which heats the bottom of the board, while part two can heat a specific chip on top. This method melts the solder on the chip, either allowing us to reflow it back to the board, or completely remove it from the XBOX 360. If we remove a chip, we inspect the solder points on it to ensure that none are broken. If there is a broken point on the chip, we will reball it before reflowing it back onto the board.
Besides reworking chips, XBOX Tuner carries many parts in case one stops working in your console. We also carry X-Clamps, should someone not give yours back when they perform an X-Clamp fix that doesn't work.
