I root every thing that's rootable and has an unlockable/locked bootloader.
Theres other devices that don't need to be unlocked to be able to be rooted. Just FYI.
Most Motorolas can't be rooted because their nand's aren't writeable. i don't know how they do it over the air then????

I have a premodded 360 samsung premium w/ NME 1.2(hard to find now). No compatibility issues since it's a Samsung and not hitachi. I can use any burner and the games still load up. The manufacturer date is 6-25-2006 I'll let it go for $560. I live in the U.S.A.

Here's a link to a picture of external SPST switch I made for a customer with NME 1.2(HE brought the chip to me) It's flush mounted. I had to use a unibit to drill the hole for the switch.

Ok it sucks that i have to post this review because i really wanted this all to work out nicely and deilzfcjk is a friendly dude. However I feel like i got jacked so i have to post this.
Do not go to this guy for benQ drives. At first the deal agreed upon over email was $30, which lead me to choose him over others because he was so cheap. I know it took you more labor hours than expected but thats not my fault, i would have found someone else to do it if i had known you had no clue what to do! But even then everything was alright to me as i was happy to just get it done. I eventually get over there to pick it up, and when i arrive he hands me an xbox thats not mine. After realizing this, he spends another 20 minutes putting my xbox together while i am left to wait and finally tells me that he could not get it to work, and does not charge me anything. What the fuck!?
Alright he didn't want to screw me over like that, but still this was a shitty way of doing business and a bad experience for me. You should have been honest with me from the start and let me know that you dont know how to do benQ and thus would have to charge more than $30. My advice is to agree upon a concrete price beforehand and to make sure he knows what hes doing, because "2.5 years" of modding experience sure didnt get him anywhere with my xbox. In all it was a massive waste of my time and gas money.

If you couldn't do it, you should have drove it over to my place and apologized (i left my xbox at his place for almost 2 weeks because of car problems). These reviews, however, are the only way the forums can become a trustworthy marketplace, and there was no way i could have left you a positive.

- D2pro is a new chip from the makers of D2ckey. This is updateable via a JTAG connector. Basically you run a cable from your pc to the wii.
If you're into looks and not function then I can't do anything else to convince you this a steal. It's a soundly modded wii. I've tested it for 5 hours straight and no glitch. It's functionally sound meaning the wires are properly laid. I've been at this for a while now. The super glue is making everything white.

Don't mess around with converting d2pro's to d2pro9's or d2pro9 to d2e, and updating firmware with d2prog. It's hard to tell what version of the chip you own now. It's a mess right now, even the modchip coders are scrambling(D2pro, wasabi, d2sun, wizard). There is a exact solution right now and I offer it. I already modded a d2c a d2pro. No hassles.
Leave the guess work to the modders. I already have stock of crapped d2pro's. Too much work just to get backups going.

I can't recall if firmware flashing only requires the dvd drives or not. Disassembling the XBOX 360 is not difficult, but it may save you some time and hopefully save me some $$, so if you just need the drive I can do that also.

Working on Xboxes can kill you if you don't know what you're doing. The huge capacitors and transformers in there are dangerous. It's not like the current gen boxes where the power supply is external. This goes for ps2's too. But I find that working on your ps2 is less dangerous because once its modded it's rarely left open. The xbox is the only modded console that you sometimes have to leave open to access the features of the modchip or troubleshoot. In so doing watch out for the live power supply.

Coincidentally, doing this made my liteon flashing setup whacked. See it's a never ending cycle of loose some and gain some. I ended up using my floppy drive to help me flash a liteon. YES, I USE FLOPPYS and they HAVE NEVER FAILED ME!!! I usually get the key through the windows 32 bit environemtn though with jungle flasher. That way there is no chance of failure during the reading process, and give me an inacurrate key. So, I double triple check before I erase the flash. Then if I can not flash or write in J/F, I will do it in DOS environment with a floppy.
I do Hitachis, benqs, samsungs, liteon, psp flashing, computer mobo flashing, cell phone flashing....car ecu reflashing. I'm not an newbie
So, Please understand before you go and accuse someone of stalling you or not knowing what they are doing. I have been flashing roms for 9 years. I reflashed thousands of motherboards. I used to work in the computer industry...have a almost completed degree in computer science. It is hard to get that computer science degree,especially when you are trying to go to work at the same time.
Maybe some of you should actually try it yourselves before you lash out and be unreasonable about the flashing process. Hope you do not brick anything!!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

The new toolbox from cygnos will automagically make everything for you know whoppie. Or if you like you can still use nandpro and inject the kv.bin in the 'XBR image' for your board. It takes some serious know how and chops though.
One caveat:
Use 360 Flash Tool 0.91 to check the image you created.

Features:
- Bootloader mode toggled via a hardware or current sensor(the 3v standby on the power supply), ie depending on whether you have it plugged in before or after you hit the switch it will got into bootloader mode. This is for when you are using it in computer/modchip flashing mode. you get to see the led on the usb board rapidly flash blue indicating that it is in bootloader mode. Very very slick use of embedded engineering. In the cygnos toolbox it will indicate bootloader mode as well. I spent alot of time to make this sucker work. Lots of reading on xboxhacker and free60. I never even used it except to help me learn how to flash drives. I never even played more than 50 total hours on it since january 2007.
Let me know. I actually hate to see it go so soon since I've never even explored homebrew on 360's. oh well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
i'll post a video of it on youtube if I have to prove it. I'm thinking of flashing Xell on to the xbox360 Nand right now.
Although you could do that yourself if you bought it. I have the orignal nand image so you can do whatever you like afterwards, ie extract smc, keyvault, blah blah blah. I never even flashed the Xbox 360 more than once cause I'm so gooood. Currently it has XBR1 on it. It is laggy though. That is why i put XBr3 on the cygnos nand. It works with all apps and games on the cygnos 360 nand.
The cygnos 360 is a flashing apparatus so no need for LPT or usb spi flasher. Its cool but expensive. I had to line up the solder joints with my 5x diopter magnifier light and a small tipped solder iron.

The newer games with the higher waves don't work for me unless I run a waves patcher first, and just recently NFS Hot Pursuit will not run at all cuz of the AP25 protection. Do you have a flash that will fix my box up. I live in Fresno, so I would probably ship it to you and then pick it up when done. Thanks! I will see what drive I have tonight. I'm not too sure. My console is mechanized in 2011/8. It is quite new so that it is difficult to hack.
Selby spent enormous hours on it. This is reasonable as he is fighting Micro$oft...I am not sure how many attempts he have made, but finally he managed to have it hacked! Like magic!
The regular boot time for my console is around 1 minutes -- quite stable.
It really worth the 200+ miles drive! Thanks!
