, I didn't tie the wires up and it stopped the fan from running, and then it froze up. I checked the fan when I powered up and it wasn't spinning, Fixed it and never had a problem since. The new hard drive creates a lot more heat because it spins faster and works harder. I later cut a couple more square holes like the orgional holes on the tray in the xbox just for more air circulation, it's not needed but heck, why not. The other thing I did was put a fan on the GPU like in the xbox V 1.0. You might need to solder a header pin onto the board. PM me if you want some pic's to show ya.
