Best of bay magazine?  For what?

Cell phone hacking should not be associated with Xboxes please re-edit the thread.

Good luck on the forums.

Angry Hehe, naw man I just saw you post on Craigslist, a friend posted me up there so I see you followed me back to my home.

I invite competition and options to customers, I even refer local installers when I get overloaded with installs and for repairs.

I think cell phone hacking is not a good thing to associate with xbox-scene and should not be advertised on this forum.

Cool cool cool,

CELL phone hacking NOT as stealing SERVICES, so dont' get me wrong here,...

Hacking as for unlocking some hidden functions in it., just like adding a chip in xbox..

This guy is the real deal! I broke my xbox by trying to install the chip myself, and the thing wouldnt even turn on. Luckily I found timmy, who took out my fried applex V modchip, repaired the damaged motherboard, and installed his aladdin at the regular installation cost with no xtra charges! Friendly guy as well - Now I'm playing copies like a champ - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Timmy is the best solution for Xbox modding in San Francisco. Quick service and a very honest person. He is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I would recommend him to anyone!

I am very impressed with Timmys work.  Super quick and extremely professional.  Start to finish for the chip and HD swap couldn't have been more than 40 minutes!  Some of the best soldering work I've ever seen, too.

He was totally worth the trip (62.5 miles to and from.)  I'll definately be paying him another visit real soon (to fix my dead paperweight of a PS2!)

You seriously can not go wrong with Timmy!  Easily the best in the Bay Area.

I would definately have to say that Timmy kicks ass. He modded and taught me how to operate my xbox in about a half hour. After that i brought him my friends older xbox for which he swapped the DVD drive and modded as well. Great service and i would recommend him to anyone in the Bay Area or anyone up for a little drive.

Fast, cheap, and out of control--Timmy is absolutely awesome. He did great work on the over one dozen systems I've had him work on.

Already recommended him to friends who are just as happy as I am!

how much for modding slim mini ps2 with DMS4? Do you have website?
Title: San Francisco Mod Chip Installer
Post by: mtimmy on October 26, 2004, 02:26:00 AM
DMS4 is not yet on the market.,

the selling price for DMS4 is around 60 dollars

plus installation.,

you are looking at around 110 to 130 with the chip installed.

Got my PS2 modded tonight. I dropped it off and got a phone call when it was finished. My PS2's an old one (V.1), but works just fine with the Duo2 that was installed by Timmy. He's a good guy, very friendly and professional. He also gave me some good advice on what media works and tweaks I could do to make my PS2 read media better. Highly recommended.

Timmy does outstanding, professional work with a smile. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to electronics and Timmy couldn't have been more helpful in aswering my questions, making sure I understood what was beind done and how I could get the most out of the changes, etc. Everything works exactly as promised and the price was as reasonable as anything I fouund in the Bay Area... and I did a lot of research.

Turn-around time was less than 1 hour and that included a lot of basic instruction. I'm recommending Timmy to my friends without any hesitation. Very responsive, very knowledgeable, very friendly.

Timmy Rocks.

Drove from San Jose during lunch hour and within 1/2 the mod was done with
a HD install.  Service and quality of work is excellent.  I already have a few
friends who want the same excellent service from Timmy.

If your going to get your xbox modded, my one and only recommendation is that you let Timmy do it. He is not only fast but also very good at it. I drove 2 hr. just to get my xbox modded. he was very helpful even after I left. was even kind enough to let me stay and watch him mod my xbox. Im going to recommend him to every single one of my friends. I would love to do business with him again. again Timmy is HIGHLY recommended for his quality and speedy work.

Timmy does excellent work.  He modded my XBox in under 30 min while I waited there.  The time it took him to solder the chip was like less than 5 min.  Most of the time was spent showing me how to use it now.  Would recommend him to anyone in the SF Bay Area.  Well worth the drive...plus spend a great day in the City afterwards.  Thanks Timmy!

Timmy is efficient, customer service oriented and fairly priced.  You can't do better than Timmy, I know because I carefully researched my choices of mod and modder.  Don't waste your time looking for a better deal or superior service.  You won't find it anywhere.  Go to Timmy.  He will hook you up!  He can handle even the most challenging Xbox ... the 1.6b which is the latest version. Trust Timmy, I did and I am very satisfied.

Timmy rawks!

He cranked out 2 boxes in what I can only guess was record time and even had a gamer mag to flip through in his waiting room.  Ok it was left by the guy before but still, helluva great service and bargain of a price.  Would have taken me weeks to research and pull all this off on my own.  Timmy, you were right though.  I now spend more time tweaking and exploring all the evox functions and great stuff you load up over playing games...but that's half the fun of it eh?

Thanks Timmy!

To all prospective modders,

Timmy saved the day by modding my xbox and adding tons of tight programs all within an hour and a half.  Explained the process step by step, answered questions patiently, and all that jazz.  Definitely recommended to any person who needs their stuff modded anywhere in the bay area.  Might be seeing you again for my PS2 Timmy.  Take it easy man.

Timmy was great, I installed an xecuter x3 on my 1.6b xbox and well, i could go no further because according to Timmy the x3 doesnt have the new bios. He told me this as soon as he was able to look at the xbox. He was able to install the new bios and install a hd i supplied, and he did it quickly! I had to come back the next day because I live across the bay, and traffic would suck! Thanks again Timmy, I will definitaly do business with you again!

Awwhh Shiat!  I didn't know you have a service forum all to yourself! Let me add some more comments to your service.

Hey everyone, Timmy is the MAN if you want your shit done right. I had my xbox mod by him about a year and half ago and everything has been working kool. Because all the kool shit that a modded xbox can do, all of my friends wanted there's modded too. I think i brought round 10 xbox's for him to mod so far and all of them were very pleased with the price and what they got (since it was pretty cheap, i even charge them alittle more for my service of taking the xbox's to him, with the toll and gas price and all). i remember it took him less than 40mins to mod 3 xbox this one time i brought him. Pretty FAST bro. Timmy is a kool guy, he even help upgraded the HD on my previous modded xbox for free (sorry bro if this was between just us, haha).

Timmy knows his stuff and he's pretty damn good at it too. keep up the good work bro.  And everyone, don't hesitate to contact him if you're planning to mod your xbox.

when i can save up some more dough, i'm gonna get a ps2 and have him help mod that too.

Very professional. He modded my Xbox and even brought it to my house (Granted, I lived down the street and he probably doesn't deliver).  That just shows how professional, but at the same time, down-to-earth he is. He's a guy with a mind for the customer.
If you need something done right, very quickly, and professionally, talk to Timmy!

I had Timmy mod a ps2, Gamecube, and repair a self inflicted xbox goof up. I brought them over in the evening, and even with him taking a break to eat, he still had all 3 done within a few hours.

He even took the time to test the quality of the lasers in my systems and tweaked them without me even asking him to.

Tim is thorough, very nice, and has his customers best interest in mind(even if that means less $$$). Regardless of your situation and knowledge, your in good hands with this Modder.

i was looking for a local modder for my gamecube and timmy actually lives about 10 mins away from me. so i made an appointment to have timmy install a qoob sx, i meet up with him at his place and he was very friendly. he told me it would take about 45 mins, so i went off to run some errons. then about 20-25 mins later i get a call from him telling me it's done.

timmy was friendly and easy to deal with. i would definately recommend him to anybody that needs any console modding, i'm gonna go back to him for a ps2 in the near future.

Wow, I didn't know Timmy had a fan base  smile.gif .  I recently had my PS2 (OG version) modded with him and it worked flawlessly!  First time customer so I didn't know what to expect (didn't even know about this forum and a thread dedicated for him until he told me about it).  Needless to say, I was impressed.  He is very professional as he follows up with the customer after he gives you the product just to ensure that everything is going good.  I would recommend him to anybody that is looking for professional installation of mod chips!

Thanks Timmy!

I had my 1.6 xbox and slim ps2 modded by Timmy thursday, picked up both on friday after worked and both system worked perfectly! Timmy lives 10 minutes away and provided excellent respose time to my email questions and was very knowledge about multiple systems. I will be definitely doing more business with Timmy in the future.

PS I ordered a xenium with solderless adapter from xbox-modchips.com and never got it. I was charged $80 and after 3 weeks of dealing with help desk got my money back. Timmy only charged me $45 for my xbox including chip + hard drive setup!

Happy modding

Had my Xbox modded yesterday.  Tim was greatm he was patient as I was over 1.5 hours late.   He always answered all my e-mail questions and trust me, I sent him a whole bunch.  He even told my that the HD that I brought to him for the swap might be faulty and he told me that he would swap it out for free when and if when it died.  He was professional to deal with from the start.

I will highly recommend him to anyone who wants their Xbox or PS2 modded.

Timmy has a nice ass car!

Anyway... Had him drop a Matrix Infinity chip into my v12 slim PS2.  I shook it around a bit after I picked it up the first time, so I dislodged a wire. (My bad.) I brought it back the next morning, and left it with Timmy while I went to go eat breakfast. Timmy called and dropped off my system at the cafe in 20 minutes! (Might've been even less.)

Nothing better than enjoying a cheesesteak in the morning, next to your freshly modded ps2.

Oh yes, and everything works perfectly.

Thanks Timmy, I'll check on you later when x360 and ps3 start getting modded!
Peace!

I am new to xbox modding.  Goes to show you how long I have been away from playing games.  My last system was a psone with a chip.  Got that when the ps2 was comming out.  When the xbox 360 came out I figure I wasn't going to plunk down 400 for a machine that I was going to get 30 mins of play time a week.  So I went the cheap route and got a xbox so that I could chip it.  I saw timmy's ad in craigslist.org.  I am telling you it was worth the effor to drive out to San Francisco from Elk Grove. (10 mins south of Sacramento).  Met Timmy at his door step at the time we agreed on.  Had both my xbox's done that afternoon.  Since I was new to what a moded xbox could do, Timmy spend a good amount of time explaining some of the in's and out's of how these chips worked and the software that you can run.  For once I was messing around with something I didn't have a good knowledge of and timmy spent the time to answer all my questions.  The questions where probably really stupid ones....but you know what...he answered them anyways.  I would definately recommend timmy to work on your game system.

P.S.  So that was your car that your drive to work that I was kidding about?  Nice 996.  Well.....have fun with it cause once you have a wife and kids...you'll be driving the same thing I pulled up in at your place...hehehe.  But no worries...once your get to retirement age...you get to drive your sports car again.  Thanks again for everything. biggrin.gif

Found Timmy on Craigslist and decided to mod my Xbox 360.  Dude was professional and nice, answering my questions and emails like the pro that he is.  You'd be a fool not to go to him to take care of your modding needs.  No bull-shit and a fair price.  I calculated it already and Timmy has already saved me $600(you figure out how I saved that much lol).

If your anywhere near San Francisco, make it a day trip with your girl and get your console modded at the same time.  If you live in the City?  You have no excuse.  Go see Timdog right now.

Had Timmy mod my xbox with the DuoX2 chip and throw in a HD -- it took the guy less than 15 minutes. A great value at $45, considering I would've had to spring for the chip *and* buy a soldering iron, then dork around trying to get all the necessary software for install. Definitely took less time going through Timmy, and probably cost me less than it would to DIY. Totally recommended (I'll be using again if I ever have any console related repair needs).

Timmy is the MAN!

Communicated with him over a couple of days to have my V4 PS2 chipped and set an appt for Sunday. Originally he had said that it would take about 2 hours, so I planned to get lost in the City for a while... Imagine my surprise when he called me about 25 minutes later saying it was done! I have to admit I was a little surprised and at first i was even sketchy about it! He told me i had an old chip in my ps2 that had broken so he removed it. I had completely forgotten about that chip when i bought it from my friend years ago!

Took my PS2 home, plugged it in and it's kicking ass! I should've done it sooner!!

Timmy will be getting all my aftermarket console business from now on. I've ALREADY recommended him to a couple of friends of mine.

4 Stars!!!

I had an xbox 360 modded by him a few weeks ago and it is working great with no problems.

I did my research for about a month or two trying to find a modder with a good reputaion and this guy does not dissapoint. He made the time. He has great places to eat near his spot while you wait. Not dissapointing at all. I had my xbox360 modded in just about an hour. Got the system back with no damage. Works perfectly. I would have done the mod myself but unfortunately I don't have the proper equipment. If you're looking to mod your system quickly and just want piece of mind, he's worth the money.

Good customer service too. This guy is legit. biggrin.gif

FYI: I hade my system recently modded last week.

Good shit Timmy.

Timmy proves once again he is the man!!  I drove out to S.F. from Sacramento and had him firmware 2 360's for me!!  He did it in a timely manner and both of the 360's work great.  Im sure I will be doing business with him again in the future....if you need your 360 's firmware flashed, Timmy is the man to do it.....

Timmy thanks for your service!

Drove across the East Bay to have my 360 upgraded.   Although there was one dude in my area offering the service at a lower price - he was never very responsive and wanted to perform the job at his own specified time.

With Timmy - I specified when I wanted to drop it off and in 30 min. it was done.  Thanks dude!

Great Work!

I emailed him late one night wanting my Wii modded the next morning! He emailed me back quickly and told me he could do it. I drove up from san jose and he modded my wii with the wiikey in about 30min!! He even threw in a free game backup!

Very responsive to emails, fast work with no marks or signs that the wii has even been opened, friendly, fairly priced. If you live in the area and are choosing between all the modders... GO TO TIMMY!

The wiikey has worked flawlessly, even updated the wii's firmware via the internet on the wii with no problems.

Well, he already said that he does NOT use clone chips...
and the truth is, he really isn't an ass. He is very nice and professional.
I went home, and had a bit of a problem, but he gave me instruction what to do
and now it is running perfectly.
There are so many great reviews of Timmy, don't doubt him.

Finally I got my Wii modded by Timmy yesterday and it was a worthwhile drive. Just waited in my car and in about 30 minutes here comes Timmy with my mod Wii. I can see how busy he is as I have seen people come and go dropping their consoles for modding. Told my friends and they are already asking for more information.

Next up for me is my PS2 modding and for sure some of my friends too. Thanks so much Timmy.

What can I say? Timmy is really nice person to deal with..
Timmy modded my wii 2 months ago and it was running perfectly until about 3 days ago when something went wrong.. i emailed him about the problem, set up a time with him earlier today and 30 minutes later I got my wii fixed and ready to go smile.gif
oh... he found the problem to be a bad chip... and he replaced it at no extra charge!!
When he say peace of mind... he REALLY mean it guys!!
Thanks again Timmy, I'll be sure to refer my friends to find u for their modding needs smile.gif

Hey Timmy,

I emailed you yesterday about an XBox360 mod.  Please get back to me when you have a chance.

Also wanted to chime in with more positive feedback for Timmy.  He modded my PS2 almost 2 years ago and it still works as great as ever.  He also modded my Wii about a year ago and that still works perfectly as well.

He might charge more than others, but you get what you pay for.  I know I would rather spend a little more to know I am getting the best service than to spend a little less and have a crappy mod destroy my machine and force me to get a new one.

If you're in sf and need to get it done, harv is solid. i got my last flash done by timmy but now that he's gone i needed someone else to get my new jasper flashed. harv did it with no problems today in under an hour and was super nice, will definitely go to him for future help.

oh yeah, like aoshichanx i had a bad experience with Deilzfcjk, before i found timmy. maybe hes gotten better (it was over a year ago) cuz apparently hes pretty much the only guy still around and the main guy for the bay area. but he was crap for me, you can read my review of him in his thread. anyways, i dunno why theres so few modders in a place like san fran but, rest assured harv is a great choice.
