it's probably missing some files. a reinstallation of those files is an easy fix to your problem.
-
I tryed reinstalling EVOX and I dont think its the problem
-
depending what happend, it might not be easy to fix, my msdash wont load either anymore, its actually a wierd problem, if i cold boot after system is off for like 2 hours msdash will boot, but after it boots it will never boot again unless i leave the sys off for over 2 hours, evox boots fine everytime try to switxh to msdash or boot to msdash, nothing but problems, no error either just black screen, tried rewriting the c:/ drive no luck at all, i think maybe the d0 got to hot or something and caused the problem but still makes the connection to my chameleon1.3 so i guess it doesnt matter since i use another non modded box for xblive

Is your msdash even named xboxdash.xbe? Sometimes people name it msxboxdash.xbe, or something else. Have you tried replacing the file with your backup? Are you using slayers, because that could be the problem. what exactly happens when you select the msdash, or boot without you chip enabled? (assuming that you have a chip.) more detail please.

I have a chip but its always on.
When I try and boot to msdash it kicks back out to the evox dashboard
I have the evox dash named "xboxdash.xbe"
and what I think is the MS Dash named "msxboxdash.xbe"
-
Okay then, that' the problem. look at what the path is in your .ini file for the msdash:
MSDashBoard = "c:\xboxdash.xbe"
You have the path to the M$dash pointing to the file that is your evoX dash. rewrite the path in your .ini file to:
MSDashBoard = "c:\msxboxdash.xbe"
This setting however will not allow you to use Xbox live. Your M$ dash needs to be named xboxdash.xbe for that. For that, you need to use XBtool to modify your bios so that it boots evoxdash.xbe instead of xboxdash.xbe. (you would have named your evox dash the same name that you choose to have the bios boot).
