Title: Help With Upgrading Hard Drive

I was wondering, if I want to replace my original xbox hd with a new 120gb hd...

is it true that I have to use my original xbox HDD key and use that key for the new hdd. I know that i can do this by xboxhdm... or hotswap...i was just making sure..can anybody answer that question for me...

just copy the contents of your retail HD to a CD-R or your PC's HD.

install the new HD. format it.

copy over all the stuff from the beginning.

even so...don't i have to use the retail hd eeprom.bin and the hddkey to lock the drive because my xbox is not modded...it's going to be audio hack that's why...
