Title: Unfair Muting And Banning From Chorizo1
Post by: bose91 on October 09, 2007, 10:39:00 PM
chorizo1 has muted me for no reason and has been unlawful by taking my words out of context while combining different ones to make my posts seem like they are breaking the rules when really they are not. I have filed a complaint for fear it may happen again becuase of the strained tension and communication problem we seem to be having.

Actually some people have been posting against the rules and have gotten away with it although this doesnt make sense since theres a catagory on modified firmware which clearly is illegal for the uses it is used for. What excatly is this modified firmware and what does it do? We all know the only use for this is to play backups so why are we hiding the truth and who are we hiding it from? Obvisoly to keep it from M$ but im pretty sure this whole website is in M$ bad books allready. M$ has designed many succesful products in the past and present so im pretty sure they didnt just fall out of bed yesterday its pretty obvisous that they know what the firmware is for, there not stupid. So what exactly are we doing its all very rediculous if you ask me.

Xbox-Scene (barring the offering of technical assistance, tutorials, and game advice, among many) is here to help you protect your gaming investments. This includes the games you have purchased, and even your console.

In order to create backups of your Xbox 360 games, though, you are required to circumvent your console's protection against loading non-genuine game discs. Currently, the only way to achieve this is by re-flashing your console's DVD drive with a modified firmware. Yes, in many countries, bypassing a game system's copy protection schemes, even for backing up your investments, is seen as as a gray area in the least. However, Xbox-Scene is visited by people from countries around the world, and therefore, you cannot rightfully apply only your specific country's legal system to it. We offer the information to you; after checking with your local laws for legality in your area, you freely have the choice whether to use the information or not.

If Microsoft offers a legally-binding 'Terms of Service' (TOS) for a specific area, with Xbox Live having the largest one, we do not offer assistance to those who want to break it. One rule that is set forth in the Xbox Live TOS is that you cannot use a copied game disc on Xbox Live. From the wording in the topic that you posted, chorizo1 interpreted that you wanted to use copied game discs on Xbox Live, this being the reason that your topic was closed. Before creating a new topic regarding an issue with a moderator, you should have PM'd HSDEMONZ directly. This can be seen about 40% through Xbox-Scene's rules.

The forum has been set in place for those who want to backup their gaming investments, not for being able to use a game downloaded from the internet, for example. Many Xbox-Scene members are not pirates, and are encouraged to use as much information on the site as they please.

Yes, it's known that some people copy games that are not rightfully theirs. However, if they don't post their activities on Xbox-Scene, there is nothing we can do about it. We can only try our best to condone these activities in our rules.

You're correct in your statement, as the only reason for using modified firmware is to load game backups. However, we're not trying to hide it from anyone. As a matter of fact, you can make use of nearly all areas of Xbox-Scene without even creating an account.

As in the previous paragraph, we don't try to hide our information from anyone, even Microsoft. If Microsoft is offended by the running and upkeep of Xbox-Scene, we should have had issues from them by now.

If you believe that offering free assistance to those who want to backup their gaming investments is ridiculous, you are free to leave our site.

However, if you want to use Xbox-Scene for rightful reasons, then by all means, enjoy your stay here.

No public posts about policy or Moderators actions.
The correct procedure is to contact HSDEMONZ privately.
If nobody has had your account banned yet I am about to.
As you have 3 accounts here it will be an IP BAN
