Title: High Pitch Noise
Post by: gman060692 on May 19, 2010, 07:32:00 PM
check the bottom of the power supply for any cracks in the solder, especially at the plug connector. The noise is probably due to a poor solder connection. If there are cracks I would advise not turning on the xbox until you have repaired the solder as you can blow the power supply or worse, start a fire. It's best if you replace the power supply.

You may have bridged a connection and/or fried the power supply. Try removing the solder you put on and see if it will boot. Be ready to unplug the console and a fire extinguisher would be handy to have.
